TCL Signs Marketing and Technology Agreement with E Mobile's CHL; MBST to be Embedded into TCL's Cell Phones; TCL to Market MBST

FRISCO, Texas, Apr 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- E Mobile Information Technologies' (Pink Sheets:EMTK) wholly-owned subsidiary, CHL Technologies, has signed a one year agreement with TCL, one of the most well-known and largest conglomerates in China today. Under the terms of the agreement, TCL will embed CHL's Mobile Book Software Technology (MBST) into its cell phones and will market and promote CHL services and content through TCL marketing and distribution channels.
Founded in 1981, TCL Corporation runs businesses from multimedia to mobile phones, from personal computers to home appliance, from electric lighting to digital products. TCL recorded revenue of 3.41 billion USD and profit of 68.9 million USD in 2003. Over two decades of growth, TCL has become one of China's most valued brands.

In April 2004, TCL Mobile signed an "MOU" with Alcatel to form a joint venture engaged in mobile phone development, production, sales and relevant services worldwide. The TAMP joint venture officially began operations in October of 2004.

As reported in China Business Weekly, "TCL aims to become one of the world's top five cell phone makers by 2010, which would put itself on par with foreign giants such as Nokia and Motorola."

CHL President Dr. Hu stated, "We are very excited about this opportunity because the agreement with TCL will extend E Mobile's reach to more of the Chinese cell phone market." According to BusinessWeek online, domestic Chinese companies such as TCL account for 44% of the cell phones sold in China.

"Lenovo, closes IBM PC merger, prepares global move" -source: Reuters

"IBM said in a joint statement issued by the two companies that it will take a pre-tax gain of about $1 billion when it reports its second-quarter earnings results in July."

"Lenovo CEO Ward said that his company will ship both new Lenovo and ThinkPad products within weeks -- in part to show that the merger has not distracted it from further innovation. Lenovo is studying how to market its various brands, especially consumer products, in new markets outside of China."

Faces In The News
Lenovo Cements 'Historic' $1.75B IBM PC Buy
Greg Levine, 05.02.05, 11:40 AM ET

NEW YORK - Doers and doings in business, entertainment and technology:

China may be ruled by a communist regime, but it still has makeovers. Namely, the "new Lenovo." On Sunday, the firm announced it completed the $1.75 billion purchase of IBM's (nyse: IBM - news - people ) personal computer division, and Lenovo Chairman Yang Yuanqing called the deal an "historic event." The Chinese hardware firm said the deal renders it the Earth's No. 3 PC maker. A company statement said the acquisition will likely quadruple PC sales of Asia's top computer maker. According to The Associated Press, Lenovo Chief Executive Stephen Ward said in the statement that "Within weeks, we will be introducing new products as the new Lenovo." The company confirmed media scuttlebutt that it was raising extra cash for the giant buy. It said three private equity investment firms have agreed to take a $350 million stake in the company, although the firm is partially owned by the Beijing government. Lenovo stock is traded in Hong Kong, but the company is mum on any plans for other share listings overseas. On the other side of the M&A equation, IBM will now concentrate on consulting and software. The AP reports that tech consultant firm Gartner places IBM's slice of the global PC market in 2004 at a mere 5%. That compares with 16.4% for Dell (nasdaq: DELL - news - people ) and 13.9% for Hewlett-Packard (nyse: HPQ - news - people ). Lenovo had ranked No. 5 in global sales, the report said. More...

Tom.com, A Leading Chinese Internet Company Serving over 50 Million Members, Signs a 3-Year Sales Agreement With E-Mobile Information Technologies' --EMTK-- Wholly-Owned CHL Technologies

PLANO, Texas --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 9, 2004 -- E-Mobile Information Technologies (Pink Sheets:EMTK) is pleased to announce its three-year sales agreement with the highly profitable, rapidly growing Tom.com -- a leading Chinese internet company serving over 50 million members through its web portal in China.

Tom.com will open a designated downloading zone on its website for CHL. This will include marketing and advertising for CHL's products. Initially, CHL will provide games, as well as Multimedia Message Services (MMS) over Tom.com's web portal. Tom.com is one of China's largest Internet portal companies. According to the report, "3G Network deployments in China" by In-Stat/MDR, in China alone there are about 270 million cell phones in operation with growth expected to reach near 500 million by 2008. Recent contracts with Motorola, Nokia, Lenovo, TOM.COM + many more. Not many other stocks on this board that are playing with that many big boys.

Video downloads including MTV
text downloads

You tell me! This one is not getting much attention now. Let's wait until the third quarter when revenue figures are released. I think attention will be given to this stock at that point. Additionally, revenue projections are scheduled for some time in May. I believe that there are over 30,000 trial members to the CHL website now with no advertising. But don't quote me on that.

Don't forget about RF tune.

You do not need to believe me. You need to believe the company and the press releases. If these contracts were bogus, I'm sure Nokia, Motorola and Lenovo would say something.

Go to

and read the "Transcript of E Mobile Investor Teleconference"

Additionally, if you want info on contracts, go to www.chltec.com
