Yea I know....I sold for an 80% gain......Hey....A gain is a gain......Can't look back, Just not getting rid of this one too fast.... Gonna' need it to pay for the gas increase!!!!

That's great for companies that are actually producing and have revenue. It doesn't mean diddly for empty shell companies.
Do your own DD, and play carefully. I was just shocked to see AIPN still being taken seriously. I made my money on it years ago, and got out with a small gain. Happy to get anything at all.
I'm not bashing on this stock, and I'm not posting on it anymore either. Like I said originally, do your own DD, play carefully, don't fall in love with it.

I'm hoping for a nice gain tomorrow. I got the itch to get back in Q, it's at least gotta be due for a technical run soon-- and of course I haven't picked up SCTN, YET that is:)

Thanks for your input dodint. Didn't mean to insult you. Just looking at all of the oil companies today....All will make out with this.... I don't plan on marrying any Penny......Just buying them when the time is right. I see it being the right time..... And Ramius...Good cal on SCTN....... Can't wait for that gain.....

All the overnight news concerning oil prices. News was everywhere and again in this mornings paper and TV news.
I think we'll see another flood of investors jumping in on oil stocks today. Given yesterdays increase across the board with oil stocks this PPS is an attractive entry point for investors. The PPS held up at the end of the day after a significant increase in volume and PPS. Should play well today again.

AIPN is currently in bankruptcy courts. they owe about 10-20 million. up to interpretation i guess u could say.
the one creditor is GCA, a cayman islands entity (i think). they stand to get all of AIPC assets if the court rules as such. that would be 15% of license 1551 in Kazakhstan, with an estimated 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, 600 billion cubic feet technically proven. legally they own 15% of Caspian Gas Corporation. some NY LLC called Bridge Hydrocarbons (don't know who the players are in it) own 85%. they pledge to come up with 189 million dollars to build out 1551. in something i read (after translating it from Russian) it said they think it will cost 150 million. this year the plan is to drill 4 test wells.
there is currently a lawsuit form shareholders attempting to get the bankruptcy to rule against eliminating the AIPN shares. the company wants to eliminate the shares. they want GCA to get all of the assets, which also include 25% in a Russian closed stock company called Zao Nafta, which AIPC claimed back when it acquired that stock had 20 million barrels of oil proven, 250 million barrels estimated. i have no idea what Zao Nafta is all about. (ie./ do the majority shareholders have any intention of exploiting this asset. do they have the money to?) also, AIPN had been granted in the past the exploitation rights to license 953, a huge exploration block in Kaz, upon which alot of seismic data has been done. basically the company used the shareholders to fund the seismics, and will hand the now in limbo 953 over to GCA. the Kaz gov't has not ruled regarding an extension. the company line is the asset is worthless, and that it failed to meet work requirements, as well as social program costs, and that it is unlikely the lease will be re-awarded.
the only other asset is some refinery property that was contaminated. its my understanding the Florida DEP is currently in the process of cleaning it up.
i'm a shareholder, so i don't want to tell u to sell. i don't want to tell u to buy either. big risk here. possibly big reward too, but you're relying on the bankruptcy court to do the shareholders a huge favour.
