DENVER, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BSI2000, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSIO), a leading developer of integrated optical card- based systems and technology, today provided a review of 2004 operations and an update for investors. Jack Harper, CEO and President of the company, said, "We have concluded our quiet period that resulted from our SEC filing, and we have a lot to report. During 2004 we got our feet on the ground as a public company, stabilized our funding and launched a number of initiatives that we believe will help us build BSI2000 into a highly valuable company. "We secured a $15 million equity line with Cornell Capital, our primary financing source. Cornell continues to provide us with sufficient working capital and, because of this, we finished calendar year 2004 with just under $1 million in cash. This was a significant improvement over previous quarterly cash balances. "In addition to strengthening our balance sheet, we had a number of important achievements in 2004. "We announced several new products for the homeland security market and launched three important field trials in the United States and in Europe, which are still underway. "We received an initial order, for a homeland security-related product, from a major international airport in Europe, and we appear to be on track to ship their first system during this quarter. "We established a number of marketing partnerships with major American and European companies that we believe will produce new revenue and business in 2005. "We expanded our U.S. sales force by opening a sales office in Atlanta. We plan to open a new office in Dallas soon. "We filed more than 20 patents to protect our homeland security and other products, and we are now in the process of filing patents covering the use of our technology for banking in South Africa. "My goal is to grow BSI2000 into a significant company that is a substantial force in the homeland security and commercial security markets. I believe we have all of the elements necessary to make this happen, and these elements are now in place. Because of this, I also believe that BSI2000 is undervalued in the market, and the company is worth many times its current trading price. Based on the current state of business and our current financial stability, we hope 2005 will show a significant improvement in our market capitalization as we begin to produce and announce significant revenue gains. "In connection with this, we began our new marketing campaign in December and now have just under $1 million in requested quotations with potential customers. Our new marketing video is available online at http://www.bsi2000.com/company.htm . "Finally, I believe that our company and its prospects have never been stronger, and that 2005 will be a good year for the company and our shareholders," Harper said. DENVER, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BSI2000, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSIO - News), a leading developer of integrated optical card- based systems and technology, today released a statement by the company president and CEO Jack Harper regarding an important new border-security measure, the Real ID Act of 2005. ADVERTISEMENT
Harper said, "The Real ID Act, just approved by a 261-to-161 vote in Congress, includes a number of anti-terrorism provisions. Among those is a requirement that all states verify that drivers license applicants are U.S. citizens or legal immigrants. Our new VERUS2000(TM) Green Card authentication product has been specifically designed to address this issue."
BSI2000 developed the VERUS2000 system to inexpensively and reliably address the problem of fake and counterfeit Green Cards used as primary identification in obtaining valid drivers licenses. Security sources indicate that fraudulent Green Cards are in use across the nation and represent a significant homeland security issue.
