BARTOW, Fla., Sep 17, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --
American Commerce Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AACS) proclaimed an "all clear" despite recent storms.
"American Commerce Solutions, Inc. has weathered the storms in more ways than one," stated Daniel L. Hefner, its President and Chief Executive Officer. "Over the past month, our Florida-based home office has been battered at the center of the hurricane activity. We have found ourselves in a flurry of activity that has protected and preserved our International Machine and Welding subsidiary's property and facilities from specific damage, while no level of preparation could prevent the inevitable effects of a tornado and the persistence of multiple storms. We have sustained several hundred thousands of dollars in damage. However, it could have been worse, much worse. No employees or their families were injured and we are fully operational with a shop full of work in-house. International Machine and Welding started the month with almost a quarter of a million dollars of work in hand. This is a great start for the third quarter," Hefner continued.
American Commerce Solutions, Inc. is a multi-industry holding company. ACS currently has wholly owned subsidiaries International Machine and Welding, Inc. and Chariot Manufacturing Company, Inc., which includes Chariot Trailers and the AFG job shop. The ACS website, http://www.aacssymbol.com , highlights the IMW operation and links to the Chariot website, http://www.chariot-trailer.com .
Hefner further commented, "Chariot Manufacturing continues to gain momentum each week. With the recent addition of the assets of Affordable Fiberglass Group, we have increased our product line substantially. We now can produce vintage cars, boats and van tops for handicap vehicles from our own molds. Additionally, as a job shop we can and will produce products for others from their molds. This versatility creates greater flexibility and employee usage in production. Steve Smith, Chariot President, claims to be 'up to his eyes in opportunity.' Chariot Trailers continues to maintain a healthy backlog in sales and is currently increasing its production capability by increasing the number of molds for our 2005 model."
Vintage car and accessory sales in 2002 totaled over $4 billion, while boat sales exceeded $2 billion in 2002. The 10-year projection for the vintage car and accessory industry is an increase to $15 billion. These products are in great demand to satisfy the leisure time appetite of young and old alike.
According to Hefner, recent travels to Nevada, California, Montana, Washington State and Alaska have substantially increased awareness of American Commerce Solutions, Inc. for investors, future financiers and acquisition targets.
"We are slowly and methodically pulling the team together to be the catalyst to the explosive growth we are expecting. We have created a firm foundation and we are ready to grow. Recent increases in trade volume are foretelling good things to come. The wisdom of our long holders will soon be evident," Hefner proclaimed.
