Hurricane Frances is sooooo big it covers the entire state of Florida. Time to go start putting my shutters up. Oh well - my wife's happy. She just got a 5 day vacation. THey shut the state down today and tomorrow and it's LAbor Day weekend anyway.
This storm is twice the size of ANdrew 12 years ago.

To all you folks that stayed, Good Luck. Batten down the hatches, don't take any chances, keep your heads down, don't be fools and throw a "hurricane party"....you need your poop in a group, and if disaster strikes, 928-855-3380. I know a lot of folks in the surrounding states that can get food, clothes, water, whatever, to you quickly. I can call in a few favors. Dar.

This is crazy- I literally just returned from my second two-day tour in Hardee county, and now it looks like I'll be doing relief work on the other side of the state next week- that's if it doesn't wipe us out here in Pinellas/ Hillsborough/ Pasco/ Hernando as well. Welcome to paradise- heed the evacuation routes posted on the back of your hotel room door, and have a nice stay.
