I can't beleive this, I wanted to start trading the pennys so I went from Nesbitt at 100.00 bucks one way to AmeritradeCanada at 10.99 one way thinking what a deal! however when they transfered my account over they neglected to say they didn't do Canadian stocks so I find out I can sell but not buy!I don't want to sell!!! So happens I found another Canadian company and want to buy more but now can't. Messed up or what.

TD Waterhouse is 30.00 plus a penny a share over 5000 bought plus you have to have a minimum balance in your account or they charge an additional fee as well.
I dont know of any but going to look at the banks up there as I talked to my mother to get the brokerages from them and I am waiting but not holding breathe as I think I missed what I wanted anyways.

I tried the Scotia Bank a while back but found them expensive as well. I am going to keep digging and will post what I find. Sure don't want to miss out because of something like this, it's hard enough to find a good stock without this BS. GLTY.

$29.95 FOR ALL TRADES/ALL MARKETS INCLUDING CANADA.
PLEASE NOTE PROBLEMS I HAD:
WHEN MAILING IN DEPOSITS I GOT CONTINUED ATTITUDE FROM THESE INDIVIDUALS WHEN I WOULD E-MAIL OR CALL TO FIND OUT WHAT WOULD TAKE SO LONG FOR MY DEPOSIT TO CREDIT. THEY SCREWED UP MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT WHICH TURNED INTO A MESS. AS IF THIS WASN'T ENOUGH, WHEN I TRANSFERED COMPLETELY OUT OF PENNTRADE TO ANOTHER BROKER, YET ANOTHER SCREW UP ON THEIR END. ULTIMATELY HAD TO THREATEN LEGAL ACTION AND SEC COMPLAINT TO GET A PROBLEM ON THEIR END CORRECTED.
I RECOMMEND YOU FIND A BROKER IN CANADA AND OPEN A ACCOUNT IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRADE FREQUENTLY. YES YOU CAN DO THIS. YES IT CAN BE DONE. AND FURTHER YES. IF YOU PLAN TO TRADE INFREQUENTLY WITH CANADA STOCKS, THEN USE AN AMERICAN BROKER AND IF YOU GO WITH PENNTRADE AND THERE'S A SCREW UP, AS IN MY CASE, IT CAN TAKE WEEKS FOR YOUR MONEY PROBLEM THEY CREATED TO BE FIXED.

I just had a look at PennTrade and their not accepting Canadian Accounts at this time. So the Brokerage hunt continues.

These all can't be used by Canadians, there has to be one good broker out there that gives Canadians the same brokerage benifits that everyone else in the trading world gets,I hope....
