Mycom Adds Capital for Technology Marketing
***
High-Tech Writers / Business Editors CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MYCO-- Mycom Group, Inc. (OTCBB:MYCO), a technology products, managed services, and software development company, announced the addition of $200,000 of working capital provided by the private placement sale of 1,333,333 shares of preferred stock, sold at $.15 per share to a Company Director, on August 23, 2004. The capital was added to help fund the Company's new product and technology marketing activities. During the first half of 2004, Mycom introduced its new firewall filtering system for spam and viruses, mycomPRO(TM) mailMAX II and repositioned its business focus to a managed services and technology developer. Notable distribution and sales gains on the new email filtering technology occurred during June and July with clients such as Northern Kentucky University, the Archdiocese of Denver and Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center being added. On July 1st, a contract was signed with a software reseller licensing Mycom's email scanning technology for private label marketing. mailMAX II scans both inbound and outbound email checking for viruses, harassing or inappropriate (pornographic) content, pictures, and attachments while blocking up to 98% of unwanted spam The new, more powerful, spam and virus filtering service, built by Mycom, operates on a highly secure Linux cluster. It provides 60% faster processing time, the ability to create users and groups for each domain, greater granularity in spam filtering, an improved user interface, a summary notification option, an enhanced queue monitor and a bypass list for every setting. mailMAX II also controls attachments, and oversized message delivery and provides unauthorized encryption detection. Address list and bypass list management is available and policy can be controlled by an administrator. The firewall technology employs a tiered approach to help combat the ever-changing and rapidly growing problem of spam. The approach consists of four tiers, working in concert and providing granular tailoring of the system to a client's specific needs. During August, Mycom added several new operating features that enable administrators to more effectively and easily manage and control their organizations blockage of unwanted viruses and spam. Mycom markets the technology throughout North America as mycomPRO(TM) mailMAX II. View mailMAX II at www.mycompro.com About
