I only wish I had the chance to look back in '04, but the real game starts now as the Jan. 1,2006 deadline approaches for counties to conform to the federal standards. And the last news I read was that the #1 competitor Diebold is under all kinds of scrutiny and bad press because they are still selling counties on equipment that doesn't conform to the new standards. This just wastes funds that the counties have at their disposal. When they figure out that Diebold did this to them do you really think they are going to buy the new machines from them?
