today's probably a good indication of what's to come this summer...lotttsss of red. So, with this in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread with stocks people think will be good long term holds through the summer.
Personally, I'm thinking TFCT, MLON, and, assuming it stops sucking, TSBB. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if 3 months from now each one of these is up 300%, IMO

Any others? Let's hear 'em

LSTA...assuming there is no reverse split..which was put out that they would not do (who knows). Entertainment should be picking up for the summer along with their new Bar opening up sometime. Only my opinion.

I agree, I think that TFCT and TSBB are long term holds with a high amoutn of potential. I also think that there is money to be made in CORR and GTEL. I am also holding OHNA but I am thinking of dropping them as soon as I rget back into the positive.

Yeah I have been pretty disappointed by the performance of this one. I thought we had reached bottom a few weeks ago but obviously I was mistaken. We hit a low yesterday and we should rebound and be able to make a little money. I don't feel that this is a long hold. It has steadily fallen since January. Many investors have become very discouraged with it and are selling for what they can and getting out. I feel we are do a for a rebound and should get one soon. But it won't relflect prices like what we saw during January for quite some time. Just my humble opinion.

I hope this helps, if you have any scoop please give me a heads up....

After watching TFCT last couple days after great PR came out, and continually watching TSBB plummet, almost thinking it might be worth just selling everything and cutting losses, is the summer really that bad of a time to trade? Do MM's manipulate even MORE now? what's the reasoning for the summer being bad trading months?

My long interests this summer are ENUI and MLON. There are two other areas that I am very interested in also. OPEC did not come through as planned this Spring and bring the cost of oil down. I am looking at some of the smaller "gas" stocks as of late such as DWOG and GASE to name a couple. Also, at the rate that Walmart has the Mom & Pops closing up shop and throwing in the towel in the retail industry, I'm looking closely at a couple of Walmarts main competitors who will benefit from the extra dollars funneling into the larger retail store sector. Two that are still very reasonably priced are COSTCO and TARGET. They should both benefit very well from WALMARTS aggressiveness.

This August will be a year since I made my first trade. By late October I began to see that "daytrading" stocks had many benefits. The main one being, even during the down or "red" times in the market, SOMETHING IS ALWAYS RUNNING. Baseballs or birdsh!t, don't fall in love with a stock, for twenty minutes to a day or so, play for gain and take your profit and move on. Not so much dead red afraid to get outta bed time in the market that way. Just my dogged opinion.

Dog,
I agree fully with your Walmart theory.
I think Target has great strength in the retail sector ,but does not have the same publicity. Also if you have been in Trget lately you will notice they continue to expand their grocery section, which is one of the benifiting factors that has helped Walmarts growth.
I agree and I will watch this one.

Have a good day Dog !!
