I have been following the "state your age" thread and have read some peoples stories about success and failures. I have also heard many times that there are people on this message board that have stories like "I invested $500 this year and already I am up to $100,000 or more..." Also, "I turned over a milion dollars on just one stock..." I love these type of stories and it makes me want to stay in pennies and work hard to do what they did. I some how seem to always pick the ones that run good when I don't have money (paper trade) and when I do, pick the ones that I do have money (real trade). I have only been trading since last Oct. and made $200 in my first month with only $500 invested. Then I lost it all and more on CYKY (ouch). I have been trading/investing since March after I found this message board. If you have similar stories, ones that are unbelievable (who knows if you are telling the truth) and don't mind sharing, please do. I am sure that there are some people (newbies) that would just love to hear of others success. I am sure that some of you will be able to add to this thread if CMKX and QBID hit it big. GLTA and thanks.

This isn't really all that unbelievable or anything, but it was great for me.

I started my account with Scottrade in early March. At that time I had about $700 in the account. I purchased $200 worth of QBID after doing some DD and checking out the thread here. I bought it at .0008 and got out at just under 2 cents. I kept some free shares but made about 4K, which was perfect timing because I am moving out.

Anyway, since then I have lost some on WNMI and am now in the green with TSBB

I have been trading since March and I have tripled my original investment since then. I just wish I had started out with more

Due you will find it gets harder to make big bucks with big bucks in pennys.

Buying $1,000.00 worth is much easyer than $10,000.00 in most. And fast markets are even worse.

Mines not unbelievable, but I have done well this year in pennies for the amount of my original investment. I am a little conservative and still have a lot invested in the regular market but I did take $2000 and started trading pennies at the first of the year. Started off badly too, wish I had found this board first before buying AFRR. So after finding this board and with my now $900.00, I have done alright. By the way thanks Diana for talking me into QBID. Wish I lisened to her and stayed in longer, lol.

But now I am up at $6000.00 mainly from Qbid and GZFX. Sold too early in QBID but still made good with it and put most into GZFX at .055, and swing trade with some. So all in all did quiet well. Sold out of TFCT too early also but hope to caught it on retrace.

I've been trading since about December, 2003.

I initially started with $3500, and was lucky that my first stock was GZFX... it was PGHI back then. I put free money that I earned with PGHI/GZFX into QBID, and again was lucky. I did a bad thing, and chased WNMI on the 2nd day of its big run and just about doubled my investment.... very lucky.

I kick myself, because I remember the day that I saw $14,000+ in my Ameritrade balance (QBID was making a big run that day). By the end of that same day, it dropped back to $9800. I felt that $3500 to $14,000 in just 2-3 months was alot of hard work, and the $4000+ drop in 2-3 hours was just too easy. There was alot of hype that QBID was going to break $0.05, so I held. I should have sold for profits that day.

On the flipside, I was murdered with GFYF. I watched it drop one day, and I jumped in when I thought it had hit bottom... it kept going down another 50%, and I bailed out and licked my wounds. I should have waited until I saw a significant up-turn.. which I would have never seen, and would probably have never jumped in.

With all of the trading that I've been doing, I've qualified for free L2 Quotes with Ameritrade, and am still learning to read them. I still don't have a great grasp of the manipulation that goes on in the pennies market, and how to anticipate the PPS runs.

So far, I think I've done OK.

I've withdrawn between $1000 and $1500 each of these past 3 months, and am now playing with free money.

That's my story... I'm still waiting to see $14,000 in my balance again.

I'm hoping that my 1,000,000 free shares of CMKX will do it all by itself... $0.014 per share is not too much to ask, is it?

Now, I'm watching TFCT run... waiting for the GZFX run when they launch their commercials, and waiting for the QBID run when they launch their cable channel.

Good Luck To ALL

Hello All,

I started in the market about 2 years ago with $5K in Amritrade. Back then I bought some blue chip stock, you know 100 shares here, 100 shares there. Not a lot of shares and little profit when it went up. I was not able to watch or get into the market the way I wanted too, since I was in a huge sand box for most of the time.

Now that I am in one place for a while, I was able to set my eyes on making more money with the pennies. I got into IPVO, my first at .22 and I have tripled my money on that one. Then the addiction hit me.

I did the reading and research and got on board QBID, GZFX, CMKX, and some others.

Right now I have about $9K in my account and I would love to be able to turn that into $250K by this time next year for when I retire, at 38 I might add. This is just to buy my house back home.

Have a Great Seabee Day!

Yep! I've getting more and more PARTIALS which kill me because they disrupt my entry/exit strategy! Then I have to make QUICK adjustments.

However, the higer priced stocks (penny, not sub) give me fewer problems.

I look for high volume, high # of transactions (also very important but overlooked by many), above .01 price and incremental moves. A (minimum) 5% intraday swing on $10,000.00 is $500 gain, net $290 after taxes and fees.

It quickly adds up!

I also look for winners that are temporarily in the dog house due to panic sells or (excuse me for saying this) ignorance.

Classic example: some 5/11/04 PANIC sells on QBID dropped it to .005 (<60% of previous days close). It slowly (1 hour) rebounded to previous days close. Anyone who got in at the .005 or .006 realized 100% to 140% gains!

Others are keepers:

ONEV (holding for a LONG time)
GZFX (holding for a reasonably long time)
CMKX (holding until I REALLY know what is happening, LOL)
PHSL (accumulated at low prices knowing that it is going to POP with 10Q)

On the radar now:
PRVH-Potentially big revenues
RCO-Breakout discussions everywhere
TAFAH-One word, DeBeers
TSBB-Everyone knows why

and the board usuals for interesting developments:
IBZT (glad I didn't buy earlier, bargain prices now!)
WNMI (ditto)
QBID (another lottery ticket? Their unorthodox methods, i.e. lack of business professionalism, and checkered past scare me away a little, although I just can't rule them out!)

Great thread to start.

I've started investing in 2001 with $1000. I now have over $25K... I realize that people who invest with hundreds of thousands makes $10,000+ easier. People that invest Tens of thousands make 1000+ easier SO Here's how my story went.

2001 - Was making $100-200(20%) off the $1000 deposit. Kept doubling down so kept making 100-200 off the 1,200 and so forth.
2002 - Deposited $2000 more and kept investing in stocks that ranged from $10-30. Lost $1000 in a few penny stocks. But I was making 400-500 within a few months with the others.
2003 Deposited another $2000 so I had started the year with $10,000. I Started heavily trading Penny stocks(.01-$4) Noticed a bigger return..Started making $1000's. I also lost $3000 on 1 penny stock (RBAK)
2004 Started the year with $14,000. Started trading with sub penny stocks, made $7k with QBID & I'm up 110% on the year already. I try to take $2000 a month out in profits and have been past few months.

My goal is to have $50,000 so I can easily make $5000 which is only 10%!!!

AllStocks has contributed to some of my sucess so keep tuned into these message boards.

I'm not too sure how successful but I think
I have done fairly well. Started trading
stocks for the first time in September 2002.

Started with $2K and have never added to my
position. The Goal was to double the value
of the portfolio every 6 months.

Goal

Feb 2003 4K
Sept 2003 8K
Feb 2004 16K
Sept 2004 32K

I am currently at $29K and on track

My best play was Adzone research
bought 18000 shares at an average of
.02 and change sold the majority at
.85 and 1.27 It finally went to 1.36
before its tumble. Got rid of my last
block of 4,000 shares recently at .25.

I guess the big difference between now
and when I started is that I now have
larger share positions across 16-22 stocks.
Definitely had my share of companies that
have tanked. Sold off a lot of the losers
a few months back.

Current Plays that I am banking on...
got in
CMKX 3.5M .0001
TFCT 90K .03
LBTT 200K .03
MSITF 280K .012

Biggest Mistakes to date =

CTKH and its many different names
AMAF
UVCL
AFRR

and trying to track with the 1k to 100k
web site...

cost me a bundle :-(

I'm 22 and I was lucky when I found these and other boards.

I was actually looking for an alternative place to "invest" than my original ingenious plan of winning at sports betting. Don't try it :P

Anyways, I started investing back in the summer of 2003 in some blue chip companies with $5,000 that I deposited and actually made some good money (like $1500), but I wanted more, and faster.

I started looking into startup companies or penny stocks and was intrigued by both the risks and the rewards. My timing must've been perfect because it was August 2003 and this guy 'tommy' (who many of you know) is posting about this company PGHI (now GZFX) which was at 1.8 cents at the time. So I put $500 in it and buy small amounts of about 8 other companies that were popular on the RB boards at that time (USXP, AFRR, FGWC, just to name a few).

Well some of my investments go down, some go up, but I become convinced that PGHI with it's video game rental site could really take off. I wanted a BIG return. So I sell all my other stocks and dump everything into PGHI at an average cost of 3.3 cents. I eventually sold everything at 10 cents (Lesson #1, don't sell when your stock is trying to break resistance, could've had .17!) for a $10,000 gain. I also am still holding PPM shares which hopefully I can cash out next year.

Now, I just got back into trading recently and I'm disappointed I missed a lot of TFCT because I knew that was one I would've been attracted to. Maybe if the price comes down. Right now I really like MBAH for some profits because of it's value, low float, and business sense.

Some tips I've learned along the way are:
1) Never fall in love with a stock. You could say I'm a hypocrite with PGHI/GZFX, but I was always up, so it was just a matter of when to take profits. Never ride a company to zero.

Cut your losses early with most investments. I bought some real hyped up stocks early on (like AFRR) and was lucky to sell them quickly losing only $100-200. I checked the prices months later and I would have been wiped out.

2) Know the posters you are following (if you are). Look for people who have been around awhile and have a good track record of picks. Pay attention to what they are saying!

3) Maybe most importantly (especially for short-term holding) is BE PATIENT. Too many times I could've saved money because I thought I was going to "miss the train" if I didn't buy right away. Wait for some dips. They will come and if they don't, another train will always be along.

Good Luck!

Reality and Dar are my heros and have changed my life forever. i started with 18000 from big board. Noticed certien members were always getting these awesome picks. Well eventually I started dipping into their picks and was making good 15 to 200%s within same day or week with a occasional loss of 5 to 30%. I have always played 5000 a pick usually getting out at 20% for frees to sell at 10x. Well between the 2 of them I got QBID 2 days before lift off. 50 millin shares of qbid and freed out at .0020 @ 10mil shares and had a lucky run afterwards (Feb) was a awesome month. Make the story short feb to today I have profited a little over 400k off of qbid alone. We rolled it and tossed it every which direction. And the big sell off was unreal i flipped 4 million shares in that 3 hours starting to think twice about college (never knew any job that pays about 13000 a hour. Now I hold 1mill shares at all times and try to flipp 4 to gather cash for other stocks. Im collecting frees now. Since then Ive scattered everything around and actually started doing good at my own picks instead of having to follow people. CMKX got it bc it was getting to much attention and old thoughts (followmypicks__member talked about it all the time also lol(never forget where you came from .0001 and well it didnt run as fast as qbid did so I freed out yesterday .0006 holding for next move. ONEV .02 to present with many many flips. TFCT .045 in process of its first flip now sold .18 need reentry. But like everyone one else I lost alot about 30k on afrr last rs. Im in realestate now and should be done working and trading by end of yr for life. Unless I trade for fun and the thrill. To all you old timers on here thank you very much I feel like a person on one of those infomericals. This site is really wonderful keep up the good work. Lol just had a thought I was banned once and came crying back. This is a must have resource in investing in penny stocks. (popluation pychology know how ppl feel about the stocks and create a motion of the charts and go at it.

I made about 5000 dollars on NNCO and a few others at the beginning of the year, taking me up to 12,000 at one point.

I took 3000 in profits and moved them out of that account.

I am currently investing in a non-penny stock (but still pretty low)

NGA - its a great stock, just keeps going up.

I also have some SRCI left over.

That's all. Playing it safe.

Thanks people. It is great to hear all of these stories. Looks like there is one thing in common. Most people mention this board. I too found the board, but way way too late. Thanks again and keep the good success stories coming. Hey Chris, maybe Bob Frey will write a book and you can be in his infomercial to promote it. I can just see it now..."with my first trade, I made $100 and I was hooked. Now I make almost $13000 an hour...WOW!!!"
LOL

Gosh I wanna be making $13,000 an hour!!

I just started approx. 1 month ago in real life after doing the paper trades. I do follow alot of Dardadog's leads, Will's, Reality's, Cabbage, (to many to list) etc... lots of great people here. I am proud to be able to learn from them.

My success is smaller, but growing:
LSTA - bought in at .0009, sold half at .002 and riding on free shares, and bought back in lower than before... just waiting for this one to rock and roll again.
QBID - bought in at .0106, did the same as above.
ONEV - bought in at .119, sold at .148
Have done the same with some others.
Still riding the wave on others that I fortunate enough to get in on very low:
CMKX, TALLE, TSBB etc...

One I am in on and really impressed with that is still at a buy is STEM. Not a penny, but I like the way it is performing.
I also like my DTGJ.

My first month I had pulled in a little over $400 and it is slowly going up, and hope it will continue.... some day....$13,000 an hour... maybe more!

I have to agree with everyone else here that this board is tremendous and has accelerated my learning curve and tested my patience for hitting the 'sell' button.

For the last few years I was investing in Blue chips alone but like everyone else I was tired of watching it tick by only a matter of dollars. I'm 35 and decided that I needed more risk/reward in my portfolio so I cashed out my portfolio which was approx $10K and took the penny route within the last few months.

My first pick was MOBL which got me addicted. I was in at .08 and sold at .24. Picked up about $2,000 on that deal. Right after is when I found this board and learned who is getting the better picks and averages. I watch these posts carefully (but still only invest at my discretion and risk threshold) and follow many of the 'leaders'.
I have traded a few pennies along the way with AFRT, TSBB, and a couple others that I was not in long enough to remember their names. On those stocks I made enough to cover my commisions and qualify me for Etrade (Powerdesk, which is very cool) while bringing my portfolio up to about $20K. The majoority of my holdings right now are QBID @ .0125 and TFCT @ .165 . I am hoping that QBID will be a big enough winner so that I can pull out my original investment and ride free shares for about a year, TFCT is the same thing.

Good luck all and thank you very much for the great postings everywhere. This board and my Etrade powerdesk are awesome.

Does any have any newsletter reccomendations for penny-investing?

Thanks,
Joey

Hi,
I've been trading for a few months and this board has been very helpful.
I have not day-traded but like upcoming companies for long term holds.
Hopefully while one company is at it's "selling point", I could plow the profits into another one.
I have had mild success, I like the homeland security sector and have done well here. Lately the penny area with the possible naked short-selling that was supposed to stop on April 1st, has brought down this area of my portfolio.
I like IBZT, QBID, TFCT, PLKC, TPBV, LBTT, NNCO, CDED.

Question: which broker is best for buying sub-pennies for 100k to 1 million shares and above?

thanks

I am just curious. I am new to this peeny world. I bought the Q at .0042 and just got into CMKX. It seems that hundreds are going to be millionares in a couple of weeks from these two stocks, yet on this thread people haven't made a killing. Is there anyone out there that has turned a couple of grand into six figures? Anyone?

Funnel, Re-read ChrisNC's post. I think out of the ones that have posted here, he is doing the best.

13000 an hour.
400k off of qbid alone

I think that is very worth a re-read. I wish I could do that. Heck, I wish I can turn my measley $500 into $1000 by October of this year. That will be 100% and I will have a year under my belt to know at least one mistake NOT to make for the next year. LOL
