I just saw Oliver Stone's Wall Street (1987) and I really enjoyed it! Not sure how I feel about Gekko though... sort of feel sorry for him. Then I realized he's the type of guy who'd cause a death spiral so I changed my mind
Anyone recommend any other market-related movies or books? I hear Boiler Room is good...

I wish I had more details, but this is from the independent film festival down in Santa Monica in oh...2001 I think.
It was called "The Bank" Its an Australian film about a guy who creates a mathematical algorithm that can predict the stock market. And then theres the usual twists and turns, a revenge story interwoven. Its a great movie really. You probably cant buy/rent it anywhere, but check around online. Somebody might have it. I highly recommend the thing.

Trading Places (with Dan Ackroyd and Eddy Murphy) - Even though it only has the one climatic scene that actually pertains to Wall Street, I think crazy way they depict the trading floor is hysterical.

Rogue Trader is pretty cool. About the guy in Singapore who took down the oldest bank in England somehow! He was probably an MM! LOL
