if you got in on a stock (ADVK) at .037 for only like 2,000 shares and its now at .08 with their website officially being launched 3/1/04, would you sell early on monday or hold on to it because the new site is launching?

its a small profit so i am wondering if i should take my small gain and re-invest in something else (since i am still in the learning curve here) or hold because the price might go up even more with the new site.

with ameritrade, i can't do a stop order on an OTC stock so i'd have to watch it closely and get out with a market order.

thoughts?

Hey man,

Congrats on the good trade. Wish I had gotten in there with you. I am not going to even speculate what will happen Monday with the pps after the launch of the website. A lot of people will recommend than once you double your principal to sell half of it and let the rest ride. That way you got your original principle back and can take the free shares on up or on down. Either way a profit. Good luck, Mac

I could be wrong but I don't think you can do a stop order or market order on otc stock with ameritrade you need to do a limit order. as to sell or not that is your call, in the begining of tradeing its better to take a small profit than a loss I think, unless you have a cushion of money and can afford to lose. Just my opionon, .0037 to .08 might be small in dollars as you only had 2000 shares but it still was over a 100% gain so good work.

I would sell and take profits. One thing I've learned if anything is that don't hold too long and don't be too greedy. But it's totally up to you if you are confident that this is going to keep going up hold. But to me what goes up will come down so buy in on dips. Good Luck!!!

I'm still kicking myself in the ash for not selling AFRR @ 700% when it rallied to .009 wow... it's at .0012 now and probably will go lower! Well, live and learn I guess.
