Company Says State-of-The-Art Equipment Very Efficient & Cost Effective; Will Also Provide Additional Revenue Source

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Feb 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Americana Publishing, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: APBH) said today it anticipates saving about 50 percent in production costs using its in-house CD and tape duplication equipment compared to outsourcing.

"The new equipment we recently installed is very efficient and cost effective," said George Lovato, Jr., chairman and CEO of Americana Publishing, Inc. "We anticipate the savings will have a positive impact on our profitability."

A 50 percent cut in costs translates to about $200,000 in net savings, according to Lovato.

One of the big factors Americana considered when installing state-of-the- art audio CD and tape duplication equipment is greater control of its audio book production.

"With control over our own equipment, we can quickly adjust our inventory needs as required by demand," said Lovato. "We don't have to worry about minimum requirements or rapidly responding to orders of any quantity."

Due to the high capacity of Americana's duplication equipment, the Company is in a position to offer its services to other firms around the world, according to Lovato.

"Our duplication equipment is now another potential source of income for the Company," said Lovato.

Lovato also indicated that because of the capacity of the new duplication equipment Americana will be in a position to take on contract work creating a new revenue source for the Company.

According to the Audio Publishers Association, annual sales of audio books total nearly $2 billion, with approximately 42 million Americans listening to audio books.

Company Completes CD Sale; Anticipates Similar Results From Cassette Inventory Reduction Program

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Mar 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Americana Publishing, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: APBH) today reported that it just completed a successful CD clearance sale eliminating virtually all of its excess CD inventory. The Company said it anticipates similar results from a proposed cassette clearance sale.

Americana Chairman and Chief Executive Office, George, Lovato, Jr., said the sale, which was initiated approximately 45 days ago, also resulted in a cash windfall for the Company.

"The bane of any publisher's existence is excess inventory," said Lovato. "We are looking at a similar program for our inventory of books on cassette and that should eliminate continuing overburdening inventory issues."

Americana recently completed the installation of state-of-the art audio CD and tape duplication equipment. This equipment has increased efficiencies and adds a new revenue source to the Company.

"Aside from providing cost savings of up to 50%, the new equipment provides us with total control of our audio book production," said Lovato. "We set the production numbers because we are no longer bound by minimum order requirements imposed by many outside vendors. Once we sell off the remaining cassette inventory, excesses will no longer be an issue at Americana Publishing."

Lovato also indicated that because of the capacity of the new duplication equipment, Americana would be in a position to take on contract work creating a new revenue source for the Company.

"The capacity of the new equipment is greater than our current needs," said Lovato. "Obviously, our goal is to generate more sales to exceed that capacity but in the interim this will allow us to offer audio CD and tape duplications services on a contract basis to third parties."

According to the Audio Publishers Association, annual sales of audio books total nearly $2 billion, with approximately 42 million Americans listening to audio books.

"With the addition of state-of-the-art CD and tape duplication equipment, we are now processing orders with increasing efficiency and anticipate utilizing the excess capacity for new duplication business from other companies," said George Lovato, Jr., Americana chairman and chief executive officer. "The increased efficiency in filling orders also helps us keep minimum inventory while filling customer orders quickly."

"Aside from providing cost savings of up to 50 percent, the new equipment provides us with total control of our audio book production," said Lovato. "We reset the minimum production numbers because we are no longer bound by minimum order requirements imposed by many outside vendors.
