I am new to allstocks and have been reading for a few weeks and and learning tons and loving it. Thanks to everyone who posts their ideas and helps. I am wondering if anyone out there knows of a website where you can make imaginary trades to practice before heading out into the big bad world of penny stocks. Thanks for your info!

go to yahoo.com and then to finance. You can create a portfolio with stock price paid and amount of shares, etc.

They have online competitions at
www.virtualstockexchange.com

On there you can join competitions that give you a set amount of money, trade commision fee, etc.

Thanks for the info. I did try virtualstockexchange, but when I tried to 'trade', it said I couldn't do trades with stocks lower than $2. So, unless I am missing another option there, I won't be able to use that since I want to work with pennies. I'm looking into the yahoo thing right now too.
Thanks again ~ KT

virtualstockexhange is the best around. To trade stocks below $2 you have to set up your own competition which is free and then you can set the paramaters that you like...I have done it a couple times while trying to teach some of my friends how to trade. And the best thing is that it is free and realistic.

Ohhh....even though I'm doing real trades, I'm going to try this place out I think.

I'd love to see what I can do with $50,000 and some swing trades

wingnut,

Thanks for that extra info. I went back and started a competition that will start on the 24th and will last until the end of August. If anyone else wants to join in it, feel free. The competition is named Pennystocker.
