Hey everyone. I've been reading this forum the past few days and I really like the atmosphere here. I'm new to the penny stock trading so I've been reading alot of posts on here learning as much as I could. Just wanted to let everyone know that it's nice to have a place like this to look everyday and read up on stocks and potential gainers and losers.

I'll be sure to post any news or insider information that I know, but I'm sure it'll be a while before I know stuff before you guys if ever. I just deposited $500 into my Ameritrade account and I'll be ready to startup on Tuesday.

Just to let everyone know, I'm sure I'm the youngest one here, 17 to be exact. I respect all of you on these boards because of the experience that you have trading. I went through a short stint trading last year. After working and saving my money, I invested in a few stocks and was able to make 2,000 into 3,500 on a few stocks, mostly around 2-3. I made a few bad calls and lost some but my overall finish was in the green.

I'm really interested in the micro penny stocks and I'd appreciate anyhelp from anyone if they have any tips they want to give me. I'll be starting on Tuesday like I said, so any suggestions on stocks to buy I'd love to hear and look into. Thanks again to everyone for holding together a nice forum for people to discuss these stocks. I'll be looking foward to read up on these boards everyday. Good luck everyone with their trading.

Welcome, thought I think there are several people your age here.

I hope you do well.

I do not have a great recoed on trrading. Take my advice on trading w/ a grain of salt. Though I will gladly help you in any way that I can.

You are correct, it is a great atmosphere. Everyone seems to be willing to help others.

What STOCKS are you looking at right now?
Do you know how to read charts?
How will you find stocks to look at?
How will you establish an entry and exit point?

Just some questions that you might want to work on while you are wainting on Ameritrade.

Again, Welcome.

PAUL

Welcome to the boards.

I'm new to day trading too and I suggest you read "A Beginners Guide to Day trading online" by Toni Turner. I'm about 3/4 through it and its taught me a lot about reading stocks, trends, and indicators.

I'm also pretty young. Just turned 18 last month. Still a senior in high school.

As to you being the youngest, I believe there is a 16 year old on the board.

Good luck with all your future trades.

I'm new too, also young. I'm just about 20. I dont "daytrade" because i have no free time during the day since i'm busy with classes. Its funny, i have time between lunch and my integral vector calc class at 2:50 that i used to use for doing homework for said calc class. Now i check up on my stocks and read this board and am 50% less productive during that 2 hour time period.
I am holding onto IBZT and GZFX for a few weeks then once they run im out. Im aso looking for another pick to get into since i have a good chunk of cash sitting uninvested right now. I'm thinkng about one more penny, maybe two, and i also might increase my position of GE and also pick up another major company.
I am new to reading charts, but what i learned about them so far is proving true. Almost every chart i look at that has made a big run in the past has characteristics that could have predicted it. Also, they can predict when a run will end. Its almost scary how predictable they can be. There are always exceptions though.
Next step: candlestick analysis without having to keep a window of what patterns to look for and what they mean open

Well it's good to know there are some other young people out here taking a shot at the penny stocks. I'll take a look into reading the beginners guide you guys are talking about. Thanks for all the help.

Wow, another college guy on here. Yes, day-trading is more fun than vector calc. I'm a senior physics student, and I skipped Quantum Theory to make a quick $800 off of CMKM earlier. I'm 21 and have been doing this for some time. I got into it because of my grandfather, who's made a very successful living trading for over 40 years. I'm not quite as good, but hey, i'm learning. Anyhow, I'd be interested to hear what got everyone here into the trading world, especially the younger guys. In response to you looking for a new penny to play, I'd recommend you take a look at either PAVP(try to get in below .008), or QBID is still a good pick, especially if it has another slight dip like it did midday today. Well, best of luck! Keep us posted on what you decide on.

Luckily my only class tomorrow is after 4pm (only day i have >4 hours of class!) so i can maybe make some quick cash. If only i didnt have so much work to do tomorrow because im doing none of it tonight because im researching companies. These lab reports and problem sets arent going to complete themselves...

I'll look more into PAVP, but i usually dont trade pinks because i cant do it online and the comssion alot higher. They also seem riskier.
I am looking at CWIR for long term. No rush to get in though. I got some good news in an email response from the VP.
I'm no good at finding the quick 30% gains in one day stuff though. Sometimes i have my mouse arrow over the "send" button but change my mind, and then watch it run up like 25%.

I too am new to trading in stocks. I started last may with 1k and now have 2K that moves up and down daily. I have been visiting this site for a few months now and am impressed with the level headedness of the members, unlike some other sites that i visited.
lol just for the record, I'm 50 years old. So it just goes to show you can teach an old dog new tricks.
