Since the MMs are driving down stocks that would otherwise be up right now maybe its a good time for those of us (who are brave enough) to buy in at the low low prices and hold until the end of the month? What do you think? Opportunity or crazy?

i think there are several pennies at great entry points right now. Looks like my new money won't be available for trading until tomorrow though.

I know the feeling. My money won't be available until 2/17 for non-marginable stocks. Aggravating because there are lots of great opps developing. I'm dinking around with what is available until it comes in. Think the MMs will be doing this for 2 weeks???

that's a great plan--when I saw people buying million share lots of GE ten(?) days ago--thats a 30 million dollar buy (portfolio managers?)-- and on the ASK-- i was pretty sure the HINTS i've been seeing on the news were being followed by the "smart" money--it's hard to judge the turnaround time --when will this be over--my guess is the end of the month--gold dipped back to 400$--dollar got support from Japan--lots of signals--I don't know how to read'em all but the FED gives very claer signals study that first--

I do not claim to understand all of the intricacies of the market. So this should only be taken as a question, I am not even trying to say this is what IS happening.
Could it be that the way we normally see a stock move in response to GOOD NEWS is more artificial than actual supply and demand?
The MM’s move the price up so that they can SHORT the stock, then collect money as well as the needed shares as the price drifts back down after the run is over?
So with new rules in place maybe not only will the short selling be less than it use to be. But also FAKE RUNS may be farther apart.
I am concerned that if the rule does actually change the way the MM's do things. It will drastically change the dynamics of the market. Might be a good time to pull some off the table and see if the dynamics do change.

OK GONT finally moving--I get a fair deal I'm happpy--Now the MM's BUY yeseterday on news--sell today --I can actually play news without having to rush?
