since i am almost always selling in $2-5k increments the comission is insignificant and it is in the 15%.

example. i buy 100k shares of widgit corp at .10 i sell 50k at .20 + .03= .23. tha covers both capital gain and commission.

if it is really running i might sell 30k at .32 + .048 to net 70 k free shares.

the idea is not to forget uncle sam, because he damn sure won't forget you.
