A site with an open portfolio. They started in June with $1,000 and are trying to take it to $100,000 in less than a year. They are already at $21,000!!!
Worth watching as they provide their DD for picks. Their latest pickup today was UNCN. http://www.1kto100k.com/

I accomplished that last month. Though I did give back some this month. Thanks PSU. mach

I started in August with 10G seed money. Near the end of Sept. I was up to 17G. Doing great. Then Nov. hit and its been ugly. A couple bad plays and I'm back to 8G. Carelessness on my part once I was playing with "free money". I'm back to being very protective of my capital at this point.

Their pick from last night - UNCN - is UP 90% right now in 1st half hour. I looked at the chart and felt it was going to blow - with the 2 black bars and check mark..... These people seem to know what they're doing.........

I was hoping to hop into UNCN this morning after freeing up some cash. It ran too fast for me and I never did jump in. Thought it might retrace back to me around .06, but it stayed strong all day. Ended strong too. May try for entry next week.

on my favorites list now, thanks to you PSU.
2 very interesting links from you this week amigo. muchas gracias, and green to you.
my 29 stock microcap portfolio closed at 565% of the jan 1 start yesterday. it has been a record year for me so far, and a few good tips came from this site. some people might like to grumble and name call, but find me better folks and info to research and i'll check it out. so far there aren't any options i've liked. it's the cooperative effort and sharing like this link psu that will hopefully make our money garden greener.
thanks to all here who contribute without selfish motives.

PSU, thanks for the interesting site. I scanned their site, but could not find how they arrive at their picks. Do you know if it is a prop. black box or a more conventional method? Are you a satisified user of their method? Thanks again for the information. Esteban

Mach, I checked out some technicals and they looked very good for the picks they made at (http://www.1kto100k.com/). I also studied some fundamentals of the picks. It looks like who is doing these pickings know their thing very well, at least by the moment looks that way....

I DID A LITTLE DIGGING ABOUT THIS WEBSITE AND THE FOLLOWING:
ON 6-3-03 THEY BOUGHT DSLN AT .51
THEN THEN SOLD DSLN ON 6-4-03 AT .81.
THE STOCK CLOSED ON 6-3-03 AT .76 THE STOCK CLOSED ON 6-4-03 AT .662
ON 6-3-03 THE DSLN NEVER HIT .51 ANYTIME THAT DAY.
ON 6-4-03 THE STOCK NEVER HIT .81 ANYTIME THAT DAY.
NOW I'M REALLY HOPEING I'M WRONG HERE. I DIDN'T BOTHER TO CHECK THE OTHER STOCK PICKS/BUYS/SELLS ON THE SITE. I WANT SOMETING LIKE THIS TO BE SUCCESSFUL BUT I ALSO DON'T WANT ME, YOU OR ANYONE ELSE READING THIS TO FOLLOW IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS IN THE EVENT IT'S A BAD APPLE.

Unless I'm not seeing something you are, here's what I show:
6/3/03 Open .50 Close .76 Daily high: .78 6/4/03 Open .76 Close .66 Daily high: .87
It appears that the figures posted on the website are legit. I have not checked out the other stocks yet.

I also reviewed most of their picks BUY & SELL values and look legit, anyway it's always good to make a follow up of their trades before making a move.

Hi All, I spent more time today going through the 1K-100K website. I noticed they had no loosers during the 5 1/2 months they show, and only two break even stocks. Should that not raise a red flag, or am I missing something. Choosing that many winners in a row is unheard of! Please, help me understand how they do that. Later, Esteban

I can give you one point of view on this- and that is that this website is one of the biggest pump websites out there. Stay with me on this for a moment, I'm not accusing anyone of anything. Now, say you are a new investor, and you just found 1to100K. You look it over, and see that they have made 20K so far. You would think to yourself, "Wow, these guys have a great record! all I need to do is follow them, and I too could end up with 1K!" See where I am going with this? If they get a following of investors who buy every stock 1to100K does, they might have quite an influence. Once they post that they have bought a stock, the followers flock to that same stock, and the price rises. Once they announce that they have sold that stock, the followers also sell, and the price drops. Now, I think this is a good site if it is legit, as long as you are aware of what I just said, and you confirm their DD. If nothing else, at least it is a good example of how to pick stocks and do DD.

first of all they offer their own DD for every stock they choose with technicals as was the case with UNCN. if anything we can learn from their ways of research.
if they are pumpers... so be it, i couldnt give a damn f*** as long as every pick they choose eventually results with gains. in other words let them pump and let us benefit from that, we arent marrying these companies, i just wanna hold em for a short period of time and make a 100% gain off each.

i'm wishing i had the time to dig a little here too. if they post the pick after the sale, well, we all could do what they do if it is all done the day after. also good points about if they post their pick to an eagerly waiting group ready to pull the trigger. a slick variation of thr pyramid scheme. first in win big. it will be very interesting to get to the bottom of how this is set up. seems it would have to be a verifiable account with nothing mentioned until after the sale.
It depends on whether or not they notify people on their email list of their picks right as they make them, or if they update at the end of the day, which means they could technically lie about their entry point and make it look like they are making a lot of money.
I subscribed to their list to see if/when they release their new plays and will see how they fare. It would be really nice if they were timely with this and others could very well benefit, but it also could be very well a very well thought out pump/dump scheme... post the pick on your website, show how much money you've made, intice hundreds of others to buy into the stock, and secretly sell it while reporting it on your website.
posted
i dont think its a pump and dump thing cuz some of their picks have been held for approx a month. i think things will be clear during the next two days when they announce their next pick. the impression i got when i subscribed was when they buy the stock they immediately notify you by email.
anyways if it ultimately turns out to be a pump and dump, what the heck, lets take advantage of that.
hope you all see green in your portfolios tomorrow, God knows its been a while since ive seen some...

I just checked the 1K to 100K website this morning and found they purchased 4400 shares of SVNX for a 3-4 month play. It is not listed on the current holdings on the main page, I went to the Due Dilligence page. Their site does not say when they purchased SVNX or at what price. It appears by the previous post that the site owner is a student or staff member at Case Western Reserve University in Toledo,OH. That is definitely impressive! Later, Esteban

Oops!!! The 1K-100K did in fact say that they purchased the shares at $2.70 average. Care to guess when the last time SVNX was that low? Looks to me like mid October.... Any thoughts would be appreciated. Esteban

I brought this thread up, as they posted a new pick.
New Portfolio Position:
DynTek (Nasdaq: DYTK)
Industry: Internet Security
Current Price: $0.84
Target: $1.40-$2.09
Adding DYTK, DynTek, Inc, to our portfolio. Based out of Irvine, CA, DynTek focuses on Business Process Outsourcing Services and Information Technology. They are a leader in the field of governmental contract services. Two other important divisions include network storage solutions, and their new division Dynsecure. It is this latter field which is extremely exciting, and peaks our interest. With the sudden onslaught of computer security threats via viruses, worms, and Trojans, DynTek is quickly becoming a leader in internet security products.
DynTek expects revenues of 60+ million in 2004 with profitability being reached in the 2nd Qtr 04. Their latest Qtr came in with revenues of 13 million, which annualizes to 42 million. Reaching the 60+ million revenue goal will take revenue growth of close to 50%, which is an extremely impressive growth story. The net loss for the latest Qtr was $390,000, but if they had been able to take into account their decreased account receivables, the company would have netted $.01-$.02/share for the Qtr.
At current prices, DynTek is trading at a market cap of 36 million and at .69 times revenue. The stock has traded down from the $1.30 level over the past 6 weeks on tax selling. Many longer-term shareholders looked at the move to this level as an exit point, while they have truly missed the new DynTek. Now that they have completely divorced themselves from their transportation service business, the company is headed down the correct avenue.
In comparison to two other computer security companies, ISSX and INTZ, DYTK appears to be going out currently at a very attractive discount. Internet Security Systems(ISSX) currently trades at a 870 million market cap and roughly at 3.8 times revenue. While Intruzion Inc.(INTZ) trades at a much subdued market cap of 14 million and at .58 times revenue, the growth and profitability projections are lacking from this story. We feel that DYTK should support a market cap of 1-1.5 times 2004 revenue, which would bring our projections for the stock to $1.40-$2.09 on a conservative basis.
It sounds good to me. What do you think ? Trading at .9 pre market.

In a way, I really like this site, but if you think about it, it helps itself quite a bit by posting it's picks. What usually happens when Stockprowler posts a pick ? Same thing is starting to happen here; DYTK is already up over 10%; now do we know if this would've happened had this site not posted this pick ? Interesting anyway....

There are a few things I can think of that could cause problems. Not getting in at the same buy/sell price... or just as likely, not having your order fulfilled, leaving you with shares of stock you dont want, or leaving you unable to purchase what you want... I wouldn't follow them trade by trade and price by price....
