Started talking about this stock when it was $.25 Hope some people bought then. Then again when it reached $2 range. Company acquired a huge oil sands and oil shale property years ago in what was then an out of the way area in Canada which nobody wanted at the time. But it had indications of having tens of billions of barrels of bitumen which could be refined into oil. As they worked on upgrading, exploring the property people started to think that they might actually have a money making property. Last week they applied to be listed on a major American market because they now meet all the requirements. They were told that the acceptance will take from one to three, possibly more months. If accepted, major institutions will be able to invest in their company. By last Monday the stock had reached the $2.50 area. If their property actually has tens of billions of oil equivalent, then compairing their company to similar companies, but ones that have the facilities built that can mine and convert the bitumen, then their share price should be well above $100, possibly/probably several hundred dollars a share. Of course it will take years and millions of dollars to build the needed facilities, but still considering their low price, people were thinking, their must be something wrong or their price would be higher. They must not have the bitumen that the preliminary evaluations indicate. Well late Friday the results of the first of 150 core samples of their property was announced and it showed a much thicker layer of bitumen than had even been estimated. The stock in the last hour of trading started moving straight up and closed at $3.62. Early next week should hit $4/share. That may seem like a steep price to buy. Most people like to buy less expensive stocks, but if they reach $400/share down the road, that will be a 100 bagger, and don't forget that they may/probably have tens of billions of oil equivalents on their property. Here were two of my earlier posts. If you had bought in at .35 (it stayed in the .25/.35 area for quite awhile) then you would already have a 10 bagger. If you buy in now at $4/share, possibly may be able to get in lower for awhile, then at $40 you will have a 10 bagger and it should hit $80 in a year or a few years and go on from their. So you might want to buy at least a few shares next week. Topic: CWPC oil sand stock .25 to .36 in on week STAR GAZER Member

CWPC.BB Canwest Petroleum (Their property is in the west part of Canada) Closed Friday at $3.62. Spent the week in the mid $2 range but near the end of trading on Friday they reported the preliminary findings of the first of 150 cores they are drilling on part of their property and it was better than expected. The layer of bitumen (thick oil similar in color and texture to syruip that surrounds the oil sands) was much larger than cores that were drilled 400 yards away in the 1970's and those cores from the 1970's were felt to be outstanding. So it was concluded that the amount of bitumen was getting greater as you move out from the previously tested area. This means that they could have a lot more bitumen (oil) than was earlier estimated. The stock turned straight up during the last hour of trading and traded over 5 million shares, about 5 times its normal volume. Over 5% of its outstanding shares traded hands. Price over the last year has been stair stepping upward. Moves up as new information becomes available, stabilizes, even backs off some, moves up to a new higher level etc. Recently they received $22,500,000 from a group of institutional investers. Interestingly, it was oversubscribed. More institutions wanted to subscribe to the offering but it was already sold out.
