Energy Editors / Business Editors SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EGPI-- Energy Producers, Inc. (OTCBB:EGPI) announced today the completion of a Definitive Agreement which shall be effective June 30, 2004, to acquire Fort Worth, Texas based Firecreek Petroleum, Inc. Management believes this definitive agreement will significantly add to shareholder value and also to the future profitability of the company. As previously announced, Firecreek Petroleum is an international oil exploration and development company specializing in the niche market of rehabilitation and enhancement of existing oilfields through modern management and state of the art technological applications. Management has over 25 years of experience and has been involved in oil and gas operations in 7 U.S. states and 13 countries worldwide. For more information about Firecreek go to: www.firecreek.us Current Projects Romania FireCreek currently has work in progress with the N.O.C. in Romania which has fields targeted for improvements by Firecreek which are currently producing 2,400 barrels of crude oil per day with room for significant increases in production as a result of the application of advanced technologies supplied by FireCreek management and an anticipated investment through EGPI. Libya Firecreek is also working on significant development's in Libya with pending news expected shortly. Libya is very much an up and coming producer of crude oil in North Africa and is actively working on attracting investments to the oil and gas sector in its country as a result of the recent lifting of U.S. sanctions. As a result of the merger, Dr. Mousa Mousahawamdah, a Libyan government official for his country's oil division, has been invited, and is expected to accept, a position on the company's newly appointed Advisory Board. News detailing more recent developments is expected shortly for EGPI/ FireCreek in Libya and more specifically for the Antelat Fields where there are vast proven reserves and currently wells producing in excess of 1,000 barrels of crude oil for each well per day with substantial room for improvement. This currently falls in line with Libya's plans to increase its daily volume of oil, which has recently been approved by OPEC. Dennis Alexander, EGPI's President stated, "This most recent acquisition marks a significant turning point for EGPI's oil and gas division. We have now strategically placed ourselves in a position where we can take advantage of certain global opportunities and market conditions. We look forward to the addition of our new team in the development of significant future business." "Firecreek has been searching for a long term partner to join with us in our international ventures. EGPI will fill a critical need in Firecreek's overseas operations allowing the development of existing projects that Firecreek has in process as well as developing those that EGPI has had in process. The international petroleum market is prime for the business approach of refurbishment and improvement through technology that EGPI and Firecreek provide," stated John R. They have an exceptionally fine balance sheet...including no LTD at all. Acq. of Firecreek might improve their income picture as well. I did not check Cash Flow or SEC filings. Certainly well worth watching.
