Star Gazer I was reading a new report about Whole foods. They are an organic stores on the west cost. about their certfide organic beef and how they are making sure their suppy of beef comes even if their suppliers have an increase in demand. Do you Know of any traded companys that only grow organic beef. What is your thoughts about organic stores stocks getting a boost out of this.

They are having problem finding the reason for the bad cow. The longer it takes I think the bigger this problem is going to get. Something to the "power" effect.

GBUR Gardenberger, makes great MEATLESS PRODUCTS such as Sweet n Sour Pork and Country Fried Chick'n. This is THE PICK for people that want to buy food and not worry about it being contaminated with mad cow disease prions. I looked at all the organic food companies such as Amys Kithen, Cederlane, Morning Star etc. and ALL of them were either private companies or part of major companies such as Kellogg which owns Morning Star. Looking at different news sites
there were some that talked about organic food and they said that they have an excellent chance of being big winners. That this mad cow scare is not going to go away even if it was just an isolated instance. GBUR is the only company that I could find that can be used to take advantage of this mad cow scare. It is also at a great price. It closed at .47 and has a bid/ask of .44/.47
In April '02 it was at $2.00 and then quickly
dropped. In the last 9 months it was at .5 for awhile, and then went to the .25 level. Since the Mad Cow scare it has popped up to .47. I would think that .5 or thereabout will be the new floor for the stock and that it may go back to the $2 level. Sales had been flat in 2001, but they have been expanding their product line and it now includes breakfast items. Their sales for '02
climbed from $51 million to $55 million. More and more people are adding meatless foods to what they eat, and now, with this scare, I would think that they will get new customers for their products. One thing, in comparison to big companies like Kellogg, they small fry. Kellogg etc. can do an advertisement blitz for their products, so keep that in mind, but even so, I think that they will still get an increase in sales and since they are the only pure play for organic
foods, I would think that their stock will benifit from this situation. Also keep in mind that I don't know how they did in 2003. However, they are taking steps to help their financial position, such as moving all their administrative offices to utah where their plant is.
