This is a remarkably stupid trade. On the surface, buying stocks that are in play because of some trend going on is almost always a sure way to lose money longer-term. We just had the nation’s largest blackout in history leaving 50 million households without power and we are seeing a host of alternative power stocks rally. These stocks have been in the dark for months, in fact the last time they have been hot was during the power crisis in California. Active Power is a small cap stock with no earnings and little revenues, however they still have a lot of cash in the bank leftover from their well-timed IPO. Active Power manufactures power quality products that give users reliable electric power. The Company makes a bizarre flywheel energy storage system to replace batteries. Executive insiders have been loading up in recent months, some trades as recently as last week. There is a chance this company and other alternative energy companies will boom for the next few months as investors speculate on these types of stocks I got in at a bit better than the current buyin but I really think that this stock, trading in the low $2 range has a great chance of hitting $3 to $3.50 in the near range. I would love to here some imput from my new friends....

Still waiting for imput!! Stock rose about 4% today. I went ahead and got at 2.04....

ACPW jumped again today to 2.27.......This stock is head to $3 to $3.50.......
