ACTON, Mass. (BUSINESS WIRE) - Pamet Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ OTC: PAMT), a leading provider of information systems and technologies for public safety, announces the availability of Release 3.1 of Pamet's suite of Public Safety products in October 2001. Release 3.1 introduces the capability for a central E911 dispatch center using CADServer to directly feed multiple agency police and fire records management databases installed locally or in remote agency locations in real time across a network. This means that a local police or fire agency can install Pamet's records management database on a server in its location and receive incident information in real time from the central E911 dispatch center that may be dispatching their resource units.

"This capability balances the need for local agency control over their information with the integration and shared service needs of municipal or county level E911 centers and police forces," said David T. McKay, President & CEO of Pamet Systems. "Our products must be configurable to meet the needs of highly centralized public safety environments as well as environments where many local public safety agencies share information, both in the real time world of dispatch and in the analytical world of investigation," continued McKay.

Pamet Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ OTC: PAMT) is a leading provider of information systems and technologies for public safety. Incorporated in 1987, Pamet Systems, Inc., designs, develops, installs, and supports computer software and systems for the public safety market throughout the Eastern United States. The Company's innovative applications automate the acquisition, storage, processing, retrieval and communication of information for public safety agencies.

ACTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 2001--In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, people are suddenly concerned as never before about security, safety, and the ability of authorities at every level to identify and access information about criminals. The financial community has been quick to recognize the investment potential of companies that market fingerprinting, imaging and identification software, and other security products.

The great potential of these discrete technologies can be multiplied many times over by integrating them with a "back end" records management system to provide the framework for converting vast amounts of data into truly actionable information. In this case the "back end" is a police and fire records management system (RMS), of which Pamet Systems' PoliceServer(TM) and FireServer(TM) are leading modern examples.

Pamet Systems' Police RMS records, organizes, and manages a myriad of information about people, arrests, accidents, incidents, warrants, restraints, and addresses. Using a sophisticated relational database, it integrates that police information, along with digital images, fingerprints, sounds, and documents. It creates a framework for them and links them all together to enable law enforcement professionals to quickly search out pertinent information, using demographic, geographic, and psycho-graphic analysis tools.

PoliceServer also works in concert with wireless technology to give patrolling officers immediate access to this critical information in their police cruisers. For example, officers can retrieve the photographs and police histories of suspects on their wireless mobile computers while at the crime scene, to ensure that they have the correct person.

Moreover, information in PoliceServer's database provides the material for intelligence analysis and crime analysis software, helping detectives to see patterns and relationships that are not readily apparent. Presenting the results using leading mapping programs is much more meaningful to investigating teams.

Finally, a modern records management system, such as PoliceServer, is the vehicle for electronically submitting locally developed information about crimes to the appropriate state and federal agencies, where it is available nationally for analysis.

"A modern records management system is pivotal to today's police work," says David McKay, President of Pamet Systems. "Some of the specialty technologies are very exciting, and PoliceServer and FireServer can pull them together and enable access and analysis of the diverse, discrete data points they produce. Our records management system organizes them into a picture that investigators can recognize and interpret."
