BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2006--SafeNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFNT - News), setting the standard for information security, announced today that it is offering free copies of its hard drive encryption software, ProtectDrive, to all U.S. Government agencies between now and the government's fiscal year end, September 30. SafeNet is making this offer in an effort to assist agency compliance with the OMB directive M-06-16 that mandates encryption protection for sensitive data on laptops and workstations.
