I have been policing for 10 years. TASR is one of many police related products that have really made money. Laser speed detection devises and Kevlar just to name two. I'll keep my eye open for the newest police gadgets that may be the next TASR. Wish I would have jumped on back in March of 03.

TASR is still the right place to be, I’m just waiting for the split. Every department in my area is planning to purchase, or has already purchased TASR (not too mention the International market where the cops don’t carry real lead-slingers). I should look and see if there is a competitor in the shadows. Less-than-Lethal as they say, is a very hot item. I go back in Sunday night and will check the catalogues to see if anyone else is starting to offering a similar device. I can tell you that mobile computers in the car are pretty hot. There is just no one company who is at the front. Speaking of computers…more police crash while trying to look and type on the inboard computer. I ran off the road one night trying to watch a DVD on it. Bad cop, I know. My four-legged partner wasn’t too happy! I think there is a company that has came out with software that will allow the officer to talk to (voice activated/recognition), and hear what the text from his computer is displaying. If that ever gets serious, it will be a bang.

Here is an idea from another poster on this board. I can't remember who posted it but it is MDDM.

hmmmmmmmmm... That's worth taking a look at. If it works as described, it will lead the market. TASR has to be at pretty close range, and you only get a second chance if you carry a back-up charge. Sounds like these guys are about the size of regular duty ammo. I'm a little sceptical. Let me show it to the SWAT guys and see what they have heard. Has someone looked in at the finacials?
