so i finally get a subscription to the software and it looks great! I used the few filters that i found in here, and ktrain told me to use ruff as the beginning. Can anyone give me a few pointers as well? What do y'all look for when you filter these out, meaning a handful of them show up but what exactly do you look for?
Help if ya can! thanks in advance

ive been lookin at all types of things, but like the ones i keep choosing have made me lose some dough, lol. The ones i overlook, end up with at least 30 percent increase! INSANE!

I actually look for an increase in pps without a lot of volume, then it is a race to find out why the jump. If you find the reason (usually good news) before everyone else you can get in at a reasonably low price. If you miss the boat you haven't lost any money. If you buy something that already has unusually high volume, you run the risk of being the one holding the bag. Using this strategy it is also just as important to monitor press releases to get the most recent stories. Sometimes you can actually beat the data that way, if you are monitoring things such as business wire or the associated press. Rememer it is always better to be the one starting a run than catching the tail end of one.
Pay attention to www.otcbb.com for breaking news as well as other sources such as yahoo finance Of course other times I just gamble but only if I've had a good day and have a couple hundred bucks to take a chance.
