Can someone please tell me how to find out what the OS shares are for a company using MicrocapTrade.com?

Also, the float as well... Or is that just a simple math solution?

float is much more difficult....
float has to be determined by an auditor...

Thanks Glass, but can you give me some more detail? What is the 10Q?

Thanks again.

Glad you made a distinction between OS and Float.
Many do not seem to understand the distinctions.

I know you know, Glass, but for others who do not, it is essentially the OS minus shares held by insiders, insiders' families, institutions, and treasury shares...however there are other categories, but minor. It is also called "Public Float" and is indicative of the shares that are freely traded (in the hands/ownership of the public) on the open market whether it is the NYSE, Amex, or any other trading markets. A "thin float" is also called a "low float" and suggests a small percentage of the total OS available for trading on the market. Such a float may cause major fluctions in the the stock's pps at any given time.

One place to find the float, providing it is available, is on Yahoo Finance. Once you get the company, click on "Key Statistics" over on the left (above SEC Filings??).
