Just watched a stock run on news for the last 40 minutes...if you havent tried this out, it's only 9 bucks or so for the first month, 99 afterwards. You've probably heard Dardadog talk about it. Just do a search for his posts. The program is at otccharts.com

It was DWGN.

The one that really made me a believer was RGRX.
http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/ubb/Forum2/HTML/005463.html

When I came back to the computer, saw it on the news streamer, saw that it had moved from the 3 range to 8 bucks, I was sick.

uh yeah its REAL easy to watch a runner... buying into one is a whole different story. Once a stock is running its hard to buy in at the ask price as instead it keeps running up unless you put in a market order which in that case you will get screwed. Best part is when you do get in... its the High of the day and its getting ready to drop.

Trust me it aint that easy.........especially for pennies.

Want real advice pick a few stocks and learn their patterns and watch how they bounce off moving averages and THATS how you plays stocks. Runners will blow you buy and 9 outa 10 times you will get in at the HOD and be burned afterwards as nobody is going to sell once a stock is running......

Learn to play a few ... the ones I play are

MBAH,GZFX (stay out for now though as I think they are a dead horse now), fmday and VCMP all of which pull me $500 or so a week on flipping. If I had my liesure job back at the help desk I could keep Quotetracker running in the background watching these all day to see when they hit 20,10,50 dma.

otherwise pick a stock and do some REAL dd not knuckle dd like the chumps that bought cmkx... put in a buy and leave it as is...

G' luck!!

Uhh, what does my attempting to do what Dardadog and Glassman do have to do with CMKX?

Buying on news works. I've seen it with my own eyes. I did it with FATS just recently.

The product is useful. Not saying everyone wants to pay 99 a month, but if it was such a piece of crap, why would Dardadog bring it up?

By the way, I do look for patterns...least for now CYBT is a buy I think down in the .0022 range -- it always seems to want to respond back up near .0030. Will it always be this way? Probably not. But I'll play it for now.

What ohsnap said is complete BS!! I use otccharts and pick runners everyday the key is to pick the runner before it's runnin'. I posted two last week right before they ran both were over 50% gainers!! you must use all of the tools that otccharts offers. It's the best service out there well worth $99 per month as you can pay for that in one good trade. use otccharts combined with L2's and that is all you need to be successful!

Its funny though I always thought why do traders need like 3+ monitors to trade with and now that I use OTCcharts I now understand the importance of using multiple screens. I only use 1 screen but it has like over 12+ windows minimized I do plan on getting multiple monitors in 05

ALL I play lately is on news..recent example: AEXCA....Ampex settled a patent lawsuit with Sony on 11/29..price around 5.00...ran to 22.00 I got in at 6.50..out at 19...three days. The key is discerning HOW important the news is.

Also ZAPS...

I would hold on to those shares of BLYC...IMO... here is a company in pennyland that gets no respect...

They are building a solid base, they are the online leader in the Barter business (BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORLD WIDE), they generated revenues in 2004 (300,000 +)compared to $0.00 in 2003 and they continue to build...

This company is not an in and out stock... that's why I don't think people talk about it much... too bad... at .005 this company has all of the potential of being a $.50 to $1.00 per share stock... IMO...

This is not a short play... however, they will have to do something with the number of O/S... sooner or later...

I have heard rumors that Dardadog was banned also I will try to post the stocks that raise flags in the morning the main thing to look at is to find a stock that trades average volume between 9:45-10:00AM and look to see if the %gain is atleast 10% also look to see if the stock has been basing a while(atleast 2 months) and most importantly make sure the trades so far have been mostly all buys.

Now this does not guarantee a winner but chances are she is gonna run. Good Luck

Unfortunatley OTCcharts does not have Level 2's yet I am not putting OTC down but I must say that its stupid not to offer them I mean that is like the most important thing to look at when trading. I use Ameritrade APEX so I get Level 2 free from them.

Thank You Ktrain I try to post ones I feel are gonna pop big but sometimes things are moving so fast that I don't even have the time to post because for some reason I have to always log in and it takes my comp. like 20 seconds to load into Allstocks so by the time I would post she would have moved a good 40-50%. I wish this was like a chatroom type thing where it would instantly come up as if we were chatting. I will try to post picks more than I have been next week. Take Care

nothing better. just didn't need all those bells and whistles for that fee. use ameritrade for intra day, volume etc, stockcharts barcharts for other things. news there are many free services with very little delay, there is one on the main page.

Oh and one more thing, thanks for offering to help guys, but i think i won't have time to daytrade much and play with otccharts until mid-feburary. Just ask to clarify a few question I had. I hope that you'll still be around to help me then.

Thanks

I try to look at the Top 400 and my own filter but I'm not very comfortable with it so I've hardly tried it, unless they were attached to news. One thing about possible runners Dog mentioned is they can turn on you and you have to be willing to sell at a slight loss sometimes. One possible way is to do this:

I unchecked all of the alerts
on the Timing Alerts except "52 week high/low". I scrolled down to find any
stocks that had hit a new high near the end of the day. I found that this
is one way to be ready for any possible gap/runners the next stock day.

When getting ready to find a morning runner, you can set up your filter like:

Price Range: 0.0001 -
3.00 and checkmark the box "Trade Range". Set the trade range for 20 - 150.
At the open bell, have that one open. It will fill in quickly with stocks
that are trading hot out of the gate. You got your first player of the day.

I'm sure some of the OTCCharts users have some better suggestions because quite frankly I'm not comfortable with this method....mostly been trading on news at the moment. I get up before the bell and scroll through it all to try and find the decent stuff...still a learning process.

I posted this cause I figure that with the first month being 9 bucks (or the first 2 weeks being free) people could jump in at a low cost, learn how to use the product, make some cash to cover their 100 dollar investment for the next month which will let them get their feet wet longer. I know I'm gonna need a few months at least still..

But I do try to post news quickly...I find it easier to make a new thread sometimes than try to waste critical time searching for the old one. I'm still learning -- alot of the news is good, but unfortunately you need to buy a lot of shares on some of them to be worth it. A case in point is one of the stocks I posted last week. It was 16 dollars a share, think it was moving to the Nasdaq - went up over a buck. So basically to take advantage of it you would have had to plunk down $1600 for a mere $100 profit. But like the Dog always says, sometimes it's better to play the higher priced ones -- a lot of the time they move a lot better than the micropennies. Here's the above case in point. Just checked it out, was CESV that I posted at around 16.10. It closed at 18.50 Friday...$1610 investment would have netted $240 before commission.

Anyway this is why I recommend everyone to try out the product (wow I sound like a OTCCharts fanboy now) -- you'll get your own news and filter in real-time -- and you wont be worrying about a 30 to 60 second or more delay on news being posted the board.

Ya know, if we had our own chatroom...
Problem is I dont like chatrooms that allow anyone to /whois someone, discover their IP address, etc. Plenty of jerks out there who enjoy doing denial of service attacks, etc. In fact, it's been such a problem with ICQNetworks in the past they did IP filtering or something on there so it comes up as garbage when you /whois someone.

Heh, most of what I post for news I dont really consider picks PER SE...I try to post positive decent stuff...and alot of them do move...but many dont move much. I mean, if something moves from .15 to .16 you basically have to buy $1500 worth just to see $100 gross profit. Ktrain, Keith, Glass, Dog and some others in this thread that I forgot are alot better at picks.

Yeah I'd be interested in hearing others OTCCharts filters....sure beats sitting around waiting for news in the meantime.

mxpx posted about a streamer setup that works pretty good. have to go in and check out the level 2's and such and see which one is about ready to run but I like it.

I also like the news plays during the day too. I missed zapz the other day but I hit UGHO monday for .12 cents profit

still learning and trying. I am spending about 16 hours a day at the computer.
