Anyone going to participate in the CNBC.com million dollar portfolio challenge? It starts on Nov 17th and you have 10 weeks to turn 1M ($900K stocks, $100K currencies) into the most money to be eligible for a prize.
Needless to say, it isn't really a test of investor acumen, as much as it is taking huge risks you wouldn't otherwise do with real money.

It's a lot of fun, I did the last one and made it into the top 1% of finishers. This was mainly due to buying a lot of financial stocks that were still bouncing off lows before chapter 11.
I'm thinking this time around looking for biotechs that are under $10.00 long overdue for some drug info release, or more financial co's that are strong but battered down just because of the climate.
