found this on another board------------------------------------------You every wonder why Rush Limbaugh hates Global Warming and ethanol. The reason is that when the Koyoto treaty is finally signed probably around August by the United States. All big polluter such as Exxon will have to limit the amount of carbon release into the atmosphere either by upgrading their existing plants or to buy Carbon Credits from a company that is considered clean like AVR ethanol. In this way Exxon can off set their own pollution by buying someone else clean Carbon Credit. AVR ethanol will soon be eligble to sell carbon credits on a special future market where the big and the small time pollutor will bid against each other for these special Carbon Credits. So AVR will be making a lot of money in this market because they are considered cleaned under the current treaty. Also AVR will be making money so to speak (Out of thin Air). with "no expense" to AVR. All this will crank uo later this summer, so it very important to buy AVR stock now, and to hold long term. At the current value one carbon credit would sell for $5.00 per unit.This is equal to one ton of Carbon released into the atmosphere. When the United States sign the treaty all companies must comply or face penalty. By 2020 it is estimated 3.5 billion tons per year of additional carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels. The European exchange is the world's largest, trading 1 billion tonnes of carbon emissions valued at $25.6 billion last year. An additional income stream could help ethanol plants weather the tough times which hit the industry late last year when ethanol prices fell to a low of $1.53 per gallon. Ethanol prices have risen recently to $2.20 to $2.30 as crude oil prices rose near $100 a barrel. Right now there over 44,000 seperate companies trying to buy Carbon Credit. "IF" the treay is Signed. lol--took small loss on AVR-sold F-COT-USU-VM and all others and put it all into SIX for the summer--have to go back to work for 7 months--G/L hope you make a bundle with your trades.
