It's done well, but It isn't a good long term play right now IMO...If there's a recession I don't think taking the family to six flags will be a high priority!

I'm amazed there's not a thread dedicated for TMA. I've flipped this three times over in as many days (I know there's alot more aggressive flippers than this but this is a lot for me...lol)
I think there's still a lot of room for TMA to run. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and subsequently the following week.
GLTA who found this little gem!!

So many that Thursday, Six Flags Over Texas had to turn people away at the gate and stay open an hour later than usual, then open 30 minutes early Friday. The dense crowds extended past the full parking lots to clog traffic on Texas 360.
"At one point yesterday, our park was at capacity," Sharon Parker, a park spokeswoman, said Friday. "We assessed the situation and temporarily closed admittance."
That happens occasionally but has been rare in recent years. The park doesn't have a set maximum capacity. Rather, the park president assesses the crowds and length of lines at the rides and makes the call to close the gates when crowd size threatens to cramp the experience of those already in the park.
On Friday, Jay Hawk of Comanche, headed to the park with his son.
"The weather was nice," Hawk said.
The circulation of spring-breakers, paired with the holiday weekend, added to the street traffic around Six Flags and contributed to backups at Texas 360, police and transportation officials said.
"We've had a few accidents," said Lt. Blake Miller, Arlington police spokesman.
Parker attributed this week's booming attendance to:
Pleasant weather. The high Friday was a mild 74 degrees with sunny skies. "This is the perfect weather we hope and dream and pray for," Parker said.
Sale-priced admission. The park has a promotion, with all tickets at $29.99 each.
Christian youth weekend. The park brought in numerous church groups for fun during the day and Christian concerts Friday and Saturday nights.
High gas prices. "I think a lot of families have decided they are going to stay a little closer to home this spring break," Parker said.
In recent years, bad weather has been cited as one reason for the amusement-park chain's declining revenues. Last spring and summer were among the rainiest on record.
Last year's extremely rainy season made it an especially challenging time to run an outdoor theme park. During spring break 2007, Six Flags had to close at noon one Saturday and stayed closed Sunday when flooding became a problem

Watching NINE also, same stick. There are some differences in the indicators like acc/dist is moving up on nine and down on six... so we'll see how they perform for comparison.

If you were going to buy this for a hold I would be careful. They just had a contagious virus in their new indoor water park here where like 60 people got very ill. I'm sure there will be a lawsuit filed in the next couple weeks if not several.
