I jumped in there at $41.50 for 100 shares. Got out in like two minutes with 100 bucks.

I probably should have held on, but being in it the way it was jumping around just made me too nervous!

Liv.....ya I banked it. LOL. I was tempted to go back in but I figured I'd want to be out over the weekend.

You know, you are responsible for one of the posts on these boards that made me spray my keyboard. It was back during the Heely's IPO and you posted "THAT WAS 3 MINUTES OF SHEER TERROR!!"

I still remember that post, (although I did have to go look it up to see if you had said 5 minutes or 3 minutes!)

So is there any strategy to IPO's or do you just jump in and out and take your dramamine?

Ha Jo, I remember that. [Smile]

Strategy is to catch them at the open right after the initial dump, if there is one. I like the ones that have priced high in their respective range or have re-priced higher ala N. Being over-subscribed is nice as well. Demand = run up usually.

After playing them until the initial momo runs out I will see if they become good traders with volume / day range and keep them on a watchlist for trading. When they go green on decent volume, I'm usually in.

Thats about it for strategy - K.I.S.S.

Went back in N for about an hour today.

In $35.20, out $36.25.

I have to wait another day before doing anymore Roundtrips, since I let FRPT take my account way below $25,000.

Hey correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have under $25,000, and you do more than 3 daytrades don't they freeze your account for 90 days (unless you deposit funds and jack it up to over $25,000?)

Yep, but it is 3 daytrades withing a 5 day period. So the clock resets itself. You just have to pay attention to when your last daytrade was.
