As you all are well aware, The Micro-Cap Opportunity released CornerWorld Corporation (CWRL) as a new Micro-Cap Opportunity prior to the open of trading on Monday, July 16th at $1.28. Was it kismit that a mere 24-hours after we issued our initial Accumulate Alert on shares of CWRL that the Company issued a press release announcing that it consummated a distribution agreement with digital music powerhouse, Napster, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAPS) for all of CornerWorld's independent music artists? Maybe not, but it sure feels like it.
Talk about validation. This certainly suffices. Napster, like many high-profile companies, doesn't cut deals with small companies, like CornerWorld, unless they see serious value. What's more is that, typically speaking, when these types of high-profile relationships have been secured by a small company, more are waiting in the wings.
Remember - what everyone is waiting for - the Company's flagship and key business driver, hasn't even launched yet. CornerWorld.com is slated to launch before the summer is over. We are waiting with baited breath, for sure.
Since our initial Accumulate alert, shares of CWRL have seen a high of $1.41 (a 10% return from the pick price) on meager volume (the high volume day for the week came on Tuesday, when roughly 25,000 shares traded hands). So why the tepid reaction?
Answer: Nobody knows about CornerWorld yet. The Micro-Cap Opportunity has a small and loyal subscriber base. We find companies that have compelling catalysts before others, traders, promoters, other newsletters so that when excitement builds into mania, we are sitting pretty. If the Napster relationship is at all indicative of what is in store in the future and what we can expect from CornerWorld when it launches, we are all in for one heluva ride!

First a word on the Market...how can we help ourselves?
U.S. Equity markets suffered heavy losses last week with the broader markets taking the kind of beating that few would risk saying is representative of the typical bull shakeout. Afterall, the Dow posted its worst week in five years. After a quiet Monday, disappointing earnings news from the likes of Texas Instruments and American Express combined with coupled with concerns over the mortgage industry to send stocks lower on Tuesday. The major indexes were able to move modestly higher Wednesday, but met with heavy selling pressure to submit in the contest of buyers and sellers. On Thursday, news that new-home sales fell 6.6% in June and negative comments from Countrywide Financial on the housing sector gave the market a good shellacking. Stocks failed to regain their footing Friday despite a better-than-expected reading for the 2nd quarter's GDP and instead moved lower again.
While the Nasdaq and S&P indexes respectively lost 3.91% and 4.90% on the week, Russell 2000 stocks fared far worse, by far, as the index shed 7.00% on the week.
Luckily enough, stocks in "penny land" often times exhibit little correlation to the trading of their more mature, well-capitalized and indexed bretheren.This seemed to be one of those times. Even though the perceived "credit crunch" has sacked many small-cap stocks (as evidenced by the Russell 2000 over the past week), the Micro-Caps, for reasons that could fill many pages, seem to continue to "do their own thing" (with a few exceptions). Right now, Micro-Cap traders are rejoicing at this disconnect.
Now to CornerWorld...
The past week featured another solid release by the Company in which it announced that the CornerWorld site (when launched, of course) would utilize PayPal as the de facto micro-payments processor for independent artists on the CornerWorld site to sell their independent content.
The stock responded to the announcement in moderately positive fashion, seeing a high of US$1.40 on the week, with the high volume day being Tuesday in which 22,000 shares traded hands. While the remainder of the week meandered a bit (there were plenty of reasons for investors to pay attention to the bigger fish), CWRL shares closed the week at US$1.35, a +5.4% increase since our initial Accumulate alert.
While we hope to see another encouraging release from the Company this week, what we all are really transfixed on is the LAUNCH of CornerWorld. For those of you that are questioning the Company's ability to successfully launch (make a big splash with) a new web service.....nay, a burgeoning GLOBAL BRAND, fear not!
We suggest you take a look at WHO you have backed (provided that you have established your initial position at this point). We suggest you take a look at the management description of CornerWorld when you get a moment. (Click here to be linked to Management descriptions) Particularly as it pertains to the launch (PR, buzz creation, etc), Co-founder, Kelly Larabee, is about as good as it gets. Most recently she led all communications and strategy (from formation to the sale to eBay for US$2.6 Billion) of Skype Technologies. Prior to that, she worked with Skype founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Frils on KaZaA, where she directed all communications and strategy after its sale to Sharman Networks in 2003 en route to KaZaA becoming the single most downloaded software in the world!
We are, at most, four weeks away from the initial launch of CornerWorld. What's more exciting is that we have been speaking with CornerWorld management about giving MCO subscribers a "sneak peek" at the CornerWorld Beta. No promises as of yet, but we can be very persuasive! We will keep you posted.

This past week was a wholly uneventful one for CornerWorld Corp. and the trading of CWRL shares. Okay...that may be a bit of an overstatement, as we know the Company is weeks away from launching their flagship social networking and user-generated content site, and that means it it highly likely that, internally anyway, the Company is buzzing with activity. The problem is that shareholders realized none of that excitement in the trading of CWRL this past week. I mean NONE. No press releases. No trading to speak of. Nada.
For those of you that have been reading my e mails religiously, you may remember my recent remarks about the particular importance of news releases and their effect on the trading of micro-cap stocks over and above any other "capitalization strata" within the equities asset class. The past week exhibited and validated the cause and effect relationship between Company news releases (or lack thereof) and price and volume action in its equity securities. Incidentally, we are making some back-end changes on the site that will allow us, when completed, to automatically post all alerts and commentary on the site, so that our subscribers can refer back to them later.
Since the beginning of trading on July 30th, CWRL shares have traded a total of 2350 shares. At a VWAP (Volume-weighted average price) of US$1.35, this represents roughly US$3,172.00 worth of stock changing hands. The stock traded (when it traded) in a very narrow range of US$1.34 to US$1.35 for the entire week. That being said, the offer (a/k/a the Ask) has remained at US$1.40 for the week, suggesting all the trades were on the lower end of the spread or on the bid. CWRL shares closed the week at US$1.34, a +4.6% increase since our initial Accumulate alert.
While we hope to see a release from the Company this week to lift shareholders hearts (and wallets!), we continue to focus our energies on the LAUNCH of CornerWorld. Also, and as promised, we are hoping to be able to give our subscribers a "sneak peek" at the CornerWorld Beta before the final launch. Rest assured, we will keep you posted as that develops.

Another week has passed and, well to be honest, there isn't a whole heluva lot to review.
CWRL shares traded a whopping 5,700 shares since last week's update - yes, for the ENTIRE week - but the stock is up another $.02 to $1.46 - again, a new all-time high and a +14% increase since our initial Accumulate alert. Go figure.
Even though watching CWRL shares seems like the market equivalent to watching paint dry, the stock continues to trade in our direction, uh... when it trades. While the company continues with its "news challenged" ways, we did see four consecutive days of filings. a bevy of pertinent filings this past week to keep the markets at bay.
We know reading filings only adds insult to injury (see boredom), but they are important, particularly in this case as it pertains to the Company's finalization (after several Amendments to the original Share Exchange Agreement) of the transaction with the controlling parties of Olympic Weddings International, Inc., CornerWorld's predecessor.

The new Juke Box is embedded within its own browser window enabling users to listen and watch Cornerworld creations while concurrently enjoying other features within the site or throughout the web. The juke box enables the users to rate the content, share with friends through email and permanently download the media.
