Great Basin Gold Ltd. (Great Basin) is engaged in the business of acquiring ownership of, and exploring and developing precious metals deposits. The Company is engaged in active exploration of its Ivanhoe property, located in Nevada through an earn-in agreement with Hecla Mining Company (Hecla), and its Burnstone property, located in South Africa. These two mineral properties are in the advanced exploration stage. Great Basin also owns a non-core mineral property, the Casino Project, located in Yukon, Canada, which hosts a large-tonnage mineral resource.
