I want this thread to be something different. A thread where technical and fundamental due diligence will be posted about stocks that meet the following two criteria:
(1) Priced less than $20. (2) Traded on a major exchange (NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ). In other words, no OTC, pinks, or greys.
I'm doing some research, and will have some recommendations this evening.

OKAY Kevin.... i continue to hold and flip SVA... they had some accounting issues which hurt them last year,
BUT? nothing serious, and?
they will eventually make themselves into a large biopharma with all of China for it's customers... it's pretty easy to read the charts on it, so i won't insult you be by presuming to give you advice on when to buy and sell

swing traders was well-run by a guy named Art for several years...
he was a good moderator, and fun to debate with...but he got upset after a run-in with a poster...
he had felt he needed to delete some of her post, and i don't know the full story, but he left shortly after a dispute over what should be deleted and what shouldn't....

I thought about posting to that board, since I would classify myself as something of a swing trader. However, it appeared that no one ever reads it, so I began posting again (after a 2 year break) in the Hot Stocks area, since it was both the most active, and it did fit the type of posts I want to make.

I don't make enough volume of picks to keep a board active. I have a personal goal of one really solid pick every 7-10 days. That's hardly enough to sustain the traffic to the Swing Trader's forum. Right now, I'm working from a watch list of about 15 stocks, and running an analysis of them based on price, MACD, RSI, Stochastics, OBV, and a couple of technical values I created myself relating to price vs. 52 week values, before I post a pick or two to this thread.

If we can talk a couple other posters to go over there with me, I'd give it a try. Otherwise, I'd rather keep posting in a forum where I know the post has a real chance of finding some readers.

I read back through the FRPT behemoth thread, and it appears that--while he WAS early--that someone else actually brought FRPT to the board initially.

Right, we all give kudos to Malloy as the one who originally brought FRPT to the boards. But Repo is the one who stuck with FRPT through good and bad and I*hub bashing. And, Malloy seems to have disappeared from Allstocks. Too bad, cause Repo and I owe him a drink.

I would frequent a Swing Trade forum that had good solid picks I could work with.
I prefer swing trading personally.

I think if we could get 5-7 people to commit to bringing at least one SOLID pick to the board every week or so, we could make a go of it. I'll be the first to volunteer. Any other takers?

I'm in, though you can't rush GENIUS... I'll try to keep up with the 1 week quota.
And Glassman - stop sounding so bitter. Just because I wasn't the first person to post a pick, doesn't mean I don't deserve credit for doing and posting relevant DD to help others... you sound like a jaded old girlfriend.

I totally agree about the not rushing thing. Like I said, my goal is one every 7-10 days, so I won't be slapdashing either. So far, I've been posting again for maybe a month or so, and I've brought 3 total picks to the board (ADST, ANDS, and ATS), of which two were big winners, and one I basically broke even on, because I made a mistake in picking a low volume NYSE stock. Hopefully we can kind of "stagger" our picks enough that it will provide a decent amount of traffic to that forum. If not, I guess we'll try to recruit more people to be pickers, or we'll just live with a "dead board" for a few days. So far, the volunteers I have are:

Been working a lot...had a 5,500 sq ft retail store buildout to do, in addition to normal stuff & got a 12,500 coming up...
btw, you guys get this going? I'll follow along, when I can.
Good luck...
You're in retail ownership? I'm looking into investing some of my FRPT profits when it hits $50... I hear that strip mall owners make a nice return with NO overhead.

Having an almost 5-bagger in an OTC stock, in which the bottom could drop out doesn't scare you at all? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I'd lock in something like initial capital+15%, just in case it all falls apart on you. I guess I've been burnt too often by paper gains lost.

Well, the fact is, if you do DD on this stock, the bottom isn't going anywhere, and it will only be OTC for a few more weeks.
To each his own though. $15.77 now.

Oh, I wasn't criticizing the play, I was simply speaking more to my lack of a stomach for a long-term OTC play. Now that it's apparently headed to the exchange, I can see how you'd have a lot more confidence.

Here's one that I got in back in September URRE (Canadian) was $4.15 then, now $6.81 – 64% gain. These uranium plays are all in the 60-80% growth mode since July.
