Oct 11, 2006 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Chevron Energy Solutions (CES), a developer of energy efficiency and alternative energy projects and a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX), reported on 10 October that it will conduct preliminary work to prepare a proposal for the development of highly efficient ethanol production plants for ethanol producer Ethanex Energy Inc (OTC Bulletin Board: EHNX). CES will perform engineering, geotechnical studies, and site and civil design work in order to prepare a detailed proposal for developing and building at least three ethanol plants that use advanced technology to maximise efficiency.
The plants, to be located in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas, will each produce about 132m gallons of fuel-grade ethanol per year.
