ya, you bet...

The deal is, it's particularly noticeable when a brand-new nick shows up with multiple threads. This is one of the top boards on the Net, so we get plenty of scamsters showing up to try and rope newbies into shady deals...NOT saying that applies to you, am just explaining...

bona-fide research sites are great (Yahoo, Bloomberg, charting sites, etc) and illuminating posts from boards that are *not* paid to promote stocks are OK, but not outright "trolling" for other boards. Policy here is no paid promo sites, period.

All in all, it's a fun board with a variety of traders and styles...lottsa folk willing to help newbs, too. Best to just start roaming around and pick it up as you go...
