I have just read several articles on China's expansion through 2020 building nuclear plants for their expanding energy needs. How about starting a list of possible short and long-term uranium plays for the future.

Thanks in advance.

shark,

this thread might be of interest to you:

http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/ubb/get_topic/f/2/t/007115.html?

it's almost exactly one year old, but - contains some notes made in particular by Purl on various uranium companies of interest.

shark, let us know what you find. am still interested in uranium stocks, but - hard to pick out which ones look promising and which don't. most of them are pretty speculative: red ink at the moment, hard to say which ones will actually turn to black in time.

Since you said long term as well as blue chip the one of the best plays out there is BHP. The recently purchased the whole largest uranium store which is in Austrailia. Apparently the mine is stocked full of it and once they start distributing to China theres going to be a LOT of cash for them.

i have actually been doing research on uranium stocks for the past year and believe that the true way to go is to put a little money at the top of the food chain and work your way down to the micros which currently control either large land holdings or control historical reserves which are currently waiting to be expoited. Any questions ill answer if i can
