Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. Announces Expansion Through Execution of Agreements With Additional Distributors

The Company Adds Two Additional Distributors, While Its International Expansion Accelerates
DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/02/2006 -- Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. (OTC: PECB) -- www.petecology.com -- announced today that it has executed distributorship agreements with Dogtown USA and Veterinary Resource Group. These new agreements will accelerate Pet Ecology's market penetration, with its unique products such as Scientific Professional Cat Liter and K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats being available to consumers through hundreds of new retail outlets and veterinary clinics. The execution of these agreements expands Pet Ecology's marketing and distribution system to 13 distributors in the U.S. and Canada, which now exposes the Company's products to over 14,0000 pet professional outlets.

The first agreement was executed with Dogtown USA based in Delaware. The distributor, with over 20 years of operations, provides full support to its retailers and will now be supplying Pet Ecology's products to over 200 specialty retailers in the Delaware area.

The second agreement was executed with Veterinary Resource Group, which is located in the state of Washington and provides veterinary supplies to over 200 professional veterinary clinics and hospitals in its market area. The Company will now be offering Pet Ecology's products to its entire veterinary clinic customer base.

While the Company continues its successful expansion in the domestic market, the international markets are heating up and sizable orders have been received from distributors throughout Canada. These orders include K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats, as well as Scientific Professional Cat Liter in both the three-pound and twenty pound bag. These results indicate that Pet Ecology's products are being well received by pet owners and professionals in both the domestic and international markets.

Deborah Wadsworth Evans, Director of Marketing for Pet Ecology stated, "We are extremely pleased with the addition of these new distributors, and we are looking forward to a long relationship with both." Ms. Evans continued, "At the Midwest Veterinary Conference this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio, the reception from the veterinarians was exceptionally positive for our products and resulted in numerous new orders of both the Scientific Professional Cat Liter and K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats. The potential of distribution of our products through veterinarian outlets is proving to be much more significant than originally anticipated by the Company. The additional repeat orders from our distributors in Canada are also exciting, since they prove the international appeal of the Company's products. We are in the final stages of negotiations with a major distributor in Asia, which we expect to finalize in the near future. Upon successful conclusion of these negotiations, we expect our current product lines, with the additional five new products and product extensions which we will offer in 2006, to be offered internationally in Canada, Europe and throughout Asia. Our international expansion is occurring at a much more rapid pace than originally anticipated which should result in substantially accelerated gross and net income in 2006 for the Company."

Still heading up again. Up .02 from .48 to .50
Volume 683,000 over twice the volume from Monday. With the 17% move Friday on low volume, it was a sign the 'smart investers' knew something and were stocking up. Now the 'everyday investers' are joining in.

Retracted a bit. Down .04 from .50 to .46 My thoughts are that ones that bought at .40 were selling to get their .20 to .25 percent gain and running. Volume 289,000

Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. Announces Seven New Product Launches Planned for Remainder of 2006 -- 6 Domestic and 1 International

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/07/06 --

Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. PECB -- www.petecology.com -- announced today the products that are scheduled to launch this year. Ralph J. Steckel, President/CEO, stated, "New Products are the backbone of our industry, and the strategic plan of our company. PECB will participate in this endeavor by releasing 6 new products in the U.S. domestic marketplace and 1 new product in Europe. We are in final negotiations with a major international distributor to bring our existing products lines, as well as our new product launches, to the International marketplace. We have had these products in research and development for several years, and because of our rate of market penetration, we now are able to accomplish in a matter of months what has taken years for our competitors to accomplish."

These products include Pet Ecology Vit-A-Dog(TM) Fat-Free treats that are scheduled to launch next Quarter. Vit-A-Dog(TM) attributes include vitamin enhancements, with Vitamin D to help build strong bones and teeth, and Vitamin E to help in the maintenance of a shiny coat. "The concept of 'Fat-Free' is strong in the marketplace. We are excited to announce the introduction of all natural coloring to all of our pet treat products. We have always utilized natural flavorings in our products, but the big hurdle was getting past the artificial color barrier. I am very pleased that we now have a natural color solution for our products. Our goal is to make our products as healthy as possible and keep pet health concerns at the forefront when designing all our products," stated Mr. Steckel. Vit-A-Dog(TM) will be available in the three best-selling natural flavors sold in the U.S. today.

Scientific Professional(TM) Fat Free Cat Treats are also scheduled to rollout early in the 2nd Quarter. Mr. Steckel stated, "Introducing the first Fat Free Treat for cats has been a goal of mine for many years now. Obesity in cats is an ongoing concern for cat owners. The ability to treat your cat with a healthy treat that is fat-free, sodium free, cholesterol free, and contains no artificial ingredients is a first in the industry. Having that peace of mind allows the pet owner feel good about feeding treats to their pet." Scientific Professional(TM) Fat Free Cat Treats will be offered in the three top-selling flavors in the U.S.

PECB's top-selling sickness indicating cat litter, Scientific Professional(TM) Cat Litter FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease), will also be introduced to Europe during the 2nd Quarter. Mr. Steckel said: "European consumers look for products that are eco-friendly and safe for the environment. We are excited to play a part in helping the Europeans meet their high standards of environmental stewardship." The product will be manufactured and distributed in Europe under a licensing agreement with a major manufacturing and distributing concern based in Germany and Scandinavia.

Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. is slated to introduce their new, patent-pending Pet Ecology Kitty-De-Lite(TM) cat food. It is the Company's first product introduction in the Pet Food Category and, like all other PECB products, Kitty-De-Lite(TM) has a distinct point of difference from all other brands in the category. This product is set to launch late in the 2nd or early in the 3rd Quarter. Kitty-De-Lite(TM) will be a delicious, healthy cat food that is quick-heated and provides a gravy base, with a patented process that will be announced at or near the product launch.

Scientific Professional(TM) Cat Litter, Diabetes Formula, is a continuation in part of PECB's 5 patents. It will be the first cat litter developed to use as an early warning litter to help detect Diabetes in cats. It has the same great attributes as the FLUTD formula being ultra-lightweight, clumpable, truly flushable, having superior odor control, and safe for the environment. This product will be available only through veterinarians and animal hospitals, and is expected to launch by the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Scientific Professional(TM) Cat Litter, Pregnancy Formula, also a continuation of PECB's 5 patents, will be the first cat litter developed to help detect Pregnancy in cats, and has the same great characteristics as the other litters. Rollout is scheduled in the 3rd or early in the 4th Quarter.

The Company has also scheduled to launch later this year a comprehensive veterinarian pet pharmacy in small application format. Pet Ecology Simply Organics(TM) was designed to address many of the most common pet health problems experienced in the home with pets, such as ear ticks, fleas and other everyday health problems. Mr. Steckel says, "Providing pet owners the ability to walk into a pet store, pick out a natural, safe and effective remedy for their pets, without a prescription has been a long-term goal of mine. Our Pet Ecology Simply Organic(TM) product line is an open door to the future of pet care for us. Indications are that the industry is moving toward 'Natural,' 'Organic' and 'Holistic products' at a vast pace, as they are in the human market. We plan to be a part of this future and feel like we are ahead of the curve in many instances."

About Pet Ecology Brands, Inc.

Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. has developed a revolutionary patented cat litter that destroys urine odor, clumps, and is earth-friendly. The litter is ultra-lightweight and convenient to use (3lbs works like 21lbs of clay/sand-based products); it is 100% flushable and safe for sewer and septic tank systems. It is completely safe for cats and our environment, and does not contain any sodium bentonite, as used in competing brands. The design helps to protect the landfills, and yet does everything that clay litters do... and more. It has the ability to help indicate certain diseases commonly occurring in cats. The technique used is similar to that found in Merck's Veterinarian Manual. However, this litter not only warns of possible illness, but may also help indicate how far along the illness may be by the color the litter changes to, thereby providing the pet owner significant additional benefits and an early warning system concerning the cat's health.

A 20lb package configuration, which was released to the market during the week of January 9, 2006, and is designed specifically for professional breeders & kennels, will also be available for consumers in early Spring 2006.

Pet Ecology's K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats(TM) are the first fat free treats on the market that meet the standards of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and offer dog owners an effective means to provide their pets with a non-fat tasty treat. They are also cholesterol free and sodium free. According to U.S. News & World Report, "the number one health problem for dogs is obesity." Today, dogs are fed fat rich food and treats, and often get significantly less exercise than required to maintain an ideal weight and healthy condition. Overweight dogs are more prone to serious injury, skeletal stress, and the same complications that people experience with significant weight gain via fat rich diets, ranging from heart and lung problems, to skin and kidney diseases, to circulatory and immune system issues.

Other products anticipated being launched by Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. in 2006 include the first fat free cat treat, a vitamin enhanced dog treat, a low sodium and low fat microwavable gourmet cat dinner; and two product line extensions for the Scientific Professional cat litter line to help indicate feline pregnancy and diabetes.

The more positive press releases that come out about PECB, the lower the stock seems to drop. It's so odd, especially when it climbed to 80 cents a couple of months ago with very little news. I thought for sure the announcement a few days ago about all the advertising they're doing over the summer, including in Oprah magazine, would have an effect, but the stock has remained very "blah", around 45 cents or so. Interestingly, I can't seem to *buy* any stock at this price, though.

I've got 7000 shares, some which I was lucky enough to get at 12 cents. I'll definitely be holding onto this for a while, because it's so nice to own a small-cap stock that I actually believe in (I'll use Pet Ecology's products when they're available in my market). Still, I'd love to see the price start to jump up again and for the volume to increase.

Yes, it was sometime late last summer... I saw an ad in Veterinary Practice News or Pet Product News, did some research, and bought the stock. One of my cats had fortuitously just been treated for a bladder infection, hence my interest [Smile] I try to stick to pet product stocks if I can afford them, but most, like CENT and MWIV are way out of my price range, and others, like HSKA, seem to be duds. I've given so much money to HSKA via things like lab tests for my menangerie that they should be raking in the dough, but it never seems to be reflected in the stock price.

I'm unfortunately new to the whole stock market concept, and it never occurred to me to sell my PECB stock when it hit 80 cents, and then to buy it again later if it dropped. I'm sure that's an obvious strategy to all of you, but I didn't ever conceive of anything other than "you buy a stock and hold it for 50 years and then it's hopefully worth something when you retire." Duh on me... I'm learning [Smile]

Edited to add OPCO to my list of inexpensive pet product stocks which seem to make absolutely no money.

Pet Ecology Continues Consumer Awareness Campaign With Extremely Positive Responses

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/14/06 --

Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. PECB -- www.petecology.com -- today announced the overwhelming positive response from its attendance at recent pet shows, which along with its recently announced $3 million media campaign, has become the core of its 2006 consumer awareness sales and marketing campaign. While demonstrating the patented Scientific Professional Cat Liter with Sickness Indicator, and K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats during these pet shows, numerous orders were generated for local retailers carrying the Pet Ecology Brand, Inc. products.

The Rhode Island Pet Show, which was held on March 11-12,2006, drew thousands of pet enthusiasts, as well as veterinarians and professional breeders. Many in attendance, watching the demonstrations, had seen the nationally advertised Pet Ecology Products in "Cat Fancy" or other print media, which resulted in first time purchases of Scientific Professional Cat Liter and K-9 Fat Free Treats at this consumer oriented show.

The consumer response in Indianapolis from the thousands that attended the IPQ Family Pet Expo on February 18-19 was also extremely favorable. This show drew coverage from local media and television including well-known programs such as Animal Planet, Lifetime TV and TV Land.

Deborah Evans, Pet Ecology's Director of Marketing, stated, "Because of the success in bringing the Pet Ecology story and products directly to the attention of the consuming public through our grass roots campaign, the Company is expanding its efforts throughout the year, and has just confirmed participation in the following events around the country:

1. Pets on Parade. Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. will be a sponsor of this
event put on by Polk County (Lakeland, Florida) SPCA to be held in
April. This event is expected to draw hundreds of people and their
pets, which will participate in a parade around the Lake to raise
funds for the Polk County SPCA.

2. Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles "Summer Super Adoption" to
be held at Manchester Park, (just north of Los Angeles airport), is
scheduled for June 4, 2006. This adoption event, one of the largest
in the country, is a family festival setting including entertainment,
celebrity guests, and media coverage. Other activities include Radio
Disney, dog agility exhibitions, animal education and much more. Pet
Ecology Brands is proud to be a sponsor of this event.

3. Pet Ecology Brands will be a sponsor of "The Furr Ball" which is an
event, in Dallas, Texas to support the Dallas SPCA and will be held at
the Galleria in May. This annual fundraiser draws animal lovers from
all over the Dallas area.

4. The Company is also a sponsor of Pet Fest, held in McKinney, Texas on
March 25, 2006 to support the Dallas SPCA.

5. Pet Ecology Brands Inc. has also committed to H. H. Becker to
participate in its Atlantic City "Spring Show" April 7th through April
9th and the annual H. H. Becker "Christmas Show" held in Rosemont,
(Chicago) Illinois during October. The H. H. Becker trade shows draw
thousands of attendees throughout the pet industry.

"We will continue to create brand awareness of our products by aggressively pursuing the consumer directly, while we continue to build our national and international distribution network. As our additional products rollout in the next few months, this combined strategy should yield not only increasing sales but increasing the branding for our company," stated Ms. Evans.

Been awhile since I checked in with this one. Looking more promising now though.

Strong support at .38 (current price .42)

MACD just crossed. Last time it broke above 50 it went from .16 to .53 took a breather then ran to .80

RSI 50: Last time it broke above 50 it went from .16 to .53 took a breather then ran to .80

Should be due for some finacial reports, which based on recent news events, should be good.

" MACD just crossed. Last time it broke above 50 it went from .16 to .53 took a breather then ran to .80 "

Pet Ecology Receives First Significant International Order From South Korean Distributor
5/9/2006 9:00:13 AM

Company Anticipates Additional International Orders This Week as It Attends Interzoo 2006 -- The World's Biggest Pet Supplies Exhibition

DALLAS, TX, May 09, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. ( PECB ) -- www.petecology.com -- announced today that it has received its first international order from Doowan, Inc. in Korea for 3,200 units of Scientific Professional Cat Litter. This is the first of several initial orders expected as a result of Pet Ecology's recent export management agreement with Tradewinds Global for the sale of Scientific Professional Cat Litter and K-9 Fat Free Dog Treats in the international market. Based on recent reports from Tradewinds Global, the Company anticipates additional orders in the near future from the Netherlands, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, which are expected to total approximately 16,500 units in May, increasing dramatically in June and July. Doowan, based in Seoul, is one of the largest South Korean based distributors of pet products in Korea, and expects a substantial penetration of the pet products retail market for Pet Ecology's products due to their distinctive qualities and the environmentally friendly nature of the products.

Ralph Steckel, CEO of Pet Ecology in describing this initial international order stated: "One of our goals in 2006 was to begin to distribute our products internationally as we continue the penetration of our domestic market, and with the receipt of this order from Doowan, we have achieved this goal much earlier than projected. We believe that we will be extremely successful in the markets we have targeted in Europe and Asia due to the increasing percentages of the population in developing countries that are becoming pet owners. These markets are especially concerned with environmental issues that our litter addresses, such as the lack of landfill capacity in certain countries, and are more health-conscious with their pets, which of course creates a tremendous opportunity for both of our current products. We seem to be at the right place at the right time for our products to penetrate these international markets, since the recent decline in the dollar against most Asian and European currencies actually allows us to price at or below our domestic competition in those markets, who have priced their products and paid their costs in currencies that have appreciated dramatically against the dollar. Our pricing in dollars, when converted to local currency, give us a distinct cost advantage that we did not have a year ago."

To further support this international distribution network, Pet Ecology will be participating in Interzoo 2006, which takes place this week, from May 11-14 in Nuremberg, Germany. Interzoo holds its International Trade Fair for pet supplies every two years and is known as the world's biggest pet supplies exhibition. In 2004, Interzoo reported an attendance of over 31,000 trade visitors from more than 103 countries, with more than 1,101 exhibitors from 47 countries. Attendance to the Interzoo is restricted to trade visitors from the supply trade, veterinary medicine, official agencies and commercial users, like pet clinics, pet boarding/grooming and similar establishments. At the 2004 event, the largest groups of visitors included self-employed businessmen and proprietors, general managers, department managers and employees mainly from the retail trade -- 95% of the visitors are involved in the purchasing and procurement decisions regarding pet products at their companies.

At Interzoo 2006, the product trends are all about fitness and wellness, and this year's focus is on natural and healthy products which are increasingly capturing the international pet supplies market. With such emphasis on the wellness trend and ecological responsibility for our environment, Interzoo 2006 is expected to generate significant international interest for Pet Ecology's proprietary pet products with their unique characteristics, such as its ultra lightweight, clumping, flushable, earth-friendly cat litter and fat free, healthy dog treats.

Deborah Evans, Pet Ecology's Director of Marketing, will be joined by representatives of Tradewinds Global and members of a German consortium, who represent Pet Ecology in Europe, at the international event, where they have planned several meetings with interested distributors in the Veterinarian Distribution and Specialty Pet Distribution channels. The Company, through the efforts of Tradewinds Global, has already gained significant interest from several distributors even prior to the event. The Company has received encouragement from Tradewinds Global that several distributors the Company is meeting at Interzoo will place orders within the next 30 days.

Total international and domestic sales for May will be announced by the Company on or before June 10, following the release of its first quarter financials on or before May 15.
