How do you recognize when a stock is a pump and dump, or spammed. The one listed here a little while ago was the first post for a new member. IBTY is the stock. The chart is going to the moon and I didn't a little DD and it seems to be a real and decent company. Also today I got spam Email for PDSC that one too looks good so far over 4 million volume and up 14% today with lots of room to grow.
So I ask you, are either of these (IBTY or PDSC) valid stocks to put some money into, even for a short term 100% or more gain??? Or should there be a big "BEWARE" sign that I am missing?

there is a difference between pump, and a pump n dump.
the later is frontloaded and will sell off to new lows sometime after you get in. Because they are dumping shares into the pump.
A pump is someone buying a stock and telling people about it, whether it be a group, a bulletin board, a news letter, a radio show, a live chat room or cramer.
someone buys something they think is good or undervalued and then tells people, its a pump, some people are right the majority of the time, some aren't. No one is right all the time.
I often ride group pumps, but I play for smaller bank.
Qbid is pumped every day.you just don't have to worry about the dump cuz it aint goin up.
