AdZone Research Signs Mark Lunsford, the Driving Force Behind the Passage of Jessica's Law, as First National Spokesperson for the Company's OPPS Program

Last Update: 2/6/2006 9:00:41 AM Data provided by

CALVERTON, N.Y., Feb 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (ADZR) today announced the endorsement of the Online Predator Profiling System (OPPS) by Mark Lunsford of the Jessica Marie Lunsford Foundation.

Mark Lunsford is the driving force behind the passage of "Jessica's Law." Named in memory of a nine year old Florida girl who last year was abducted, assaulted and brutally murdered, "Jessica's Law" refers to the Jessica Marie Lunsford Act passed in Florida, which mandates a minimum sentence of 25 years and a maximum of life in prison for first time child sex offenders.

"We're extremely pleased and proud to have Mark's endorsement," said John Cardona, President and COO of AdZone.

"Mark has dedicated his life to making sure no other parent has to endure what he did with the loss of his daughter to the hands of a predator. He has carried that message across the country on many major syndicated TV programs such as 'Oprah,' as well as television news and public affairs programs," said Cardona. "We believe his support of OPPS will help accelerate the deployment of this essential tool within every police department across the country.

"While demonstrating OPPS to Mark, I came to see that in addition to registering every sex offender we must also work to amend Jessica's Law to ensure we likewise register their screen names and restrict their ability to prey on our children through the Internet," Cardona continued.

"What impressed me about OPPS when I first saw it was how easy it is to use," said Mark Lunsford.

"OPPS is already deployed in the Greater Washington area, and is about to go live in a number of New York localities," said Cardona. "Additionally, we have received thousands of orders for licenses across the country and last week signed a strategic agreement with Web Wise Kids that represents a further 50,000 licenses.

"To fulfill these, we have engaged a professional sponsorship team whose dedicated function is to make sure every request is met. Now, with Mark's support, OPPS has a level of credibility and exposure that is absolutely outstanding, especially to many of the large national sponsors and will help us in our goal of full OPPS deployment in all 19,000 departments."
