ALMI below 0.90 again....is this a bad sign, or is it a time to accumulate? Why the 20% drop in a couple of weeks? Ideas, comments?

Thanks,
Sharkone

Shark - first ALMI - and stock prices.

There are alot of reasons stocks go up and down
and up and down again.

Here are a few

1. News / No News
2. Anticipation of News
3. Outstanding shares and float
4. Insider buying and selling
5. Dilution, and other people selling
6. Chart players
7. The month we are in
8. Selling before news - Selling after news
9. Selling/ Buying before a 10KQ - Buying /Selling after a 10KQ
10. Momo's
11. Shareholders selling half when they hit
100% and riding the free shares
12- ETC

ALMI share price decline -

Low float/ low O.S stocks (under 60 Million O.S.)
do move up and down - big % points

ALMI share price decline

Here are a few possible reasons

1. Weak hands sold
2. Short term traders got bored waiting on news
3. Few traders sold around a 1.00 knowing the
10QT will not look great since there are no
clay sales (some of these people will get in again)
4. Tax lost selling - (
some of these people may get in again also- JAN+)

As far as ....is this a bad sign, or is it a time to accumulate?

I learned a long time ago not to tell people
to buy / sell or accumulate since you have to
do your own Research/DD - and keep it updated.

I spoke with Bill on Friday...I'll also include our discussion from a couple of weeks ago.

First of all, I asked who is paying for all of these "Natural Nano to present at ____________ conference" PRs. I wanted to make sure that ALMI is not wasting our money on these stupid PRs.

He said that he gave NN permission to use their ticker symbol to release PRs through since they are currently not a public company. He is considering telling them to stop using their ticker because of the clutter that it has caused.

2) I then asked if ALMI will get any kind of equity interest in the Natural Nano IPO.

Bill said that he did discuss this with Reidlinger at one point (about possibly getting a warrant), but he didn't think it would happen.

3) What then is going on Natural Nano?

He feels fairly comfortable with what NN is doing right now. They are developing 2-3 methods for processing the clay and he believes that one of these methods will prove to be the winner within the next few months. They are also setting up on an on-site lab at the Dragon Mine. The NN process will come to commercialization within the next couple of months (Dec-Jan). This specific method will be used for buidling materials (which could probably produce some very large sales of clay).

4) I asked Bill what there was to get excited about with ALMI at this point. Apparently little has been happening (in the investor's viewpoint) with the company and boredom is setting in.

He said that first of all he believed that there would be a nano sale to one or more building materials companies in the next two months. He also believes that sales to paint companies will be quick as well. Then after this he will consider better developing the mine and then opening it up more to ceramics companies. Fianlly, ALMI is currently looking at other properties that they will be able to develop. His first priority would be a copper mine in Canada, then a lead/zinc mine (CA), a gold mine in the US, limestone property (US), and also some timber and barite properties. However, he did say that the Dragon Mine must be cash flow positive before he will consider buying any other properties. (This shows me he's staying conservative and is an excellent strategy.)

They also have about $400,000 in contracting revenues year-to-date.

5) Will there definitely be sales of "nano" clay?

There is no question that nano sales WILL happen. It is the "product of choice for many users." Even if it didn't happen there are traditional users in Italy and Japan that are ready and willing to buy product from the Dragon mine.

6) What is the current production rate at the mine?

They are not mining currently. There is enough clay on the surface to fill orders. They are working on catch up stuff like geological work, opening up new areas of the mine (the lower sections), and working on the processing systems.

7) When will we get reserve numbers?

The SEC classifies ALMI as an exploration company. To be a development company they need to meet many expensive necessary requirements. Just a professional report would be $300K+. In the best interest of the shareholders, they are not pursuing it at this time.

8) How is the navy and ALMI relationship? Any new news?

Dr Price is on the Board of Directors. Once he retires from the navy he will become a full-time supporter/backer/promoter of halloycite clay. He has 6 lisences for all kinds of applications.

Future nanotech tools made from clay

BURLINGAME, Calif.--The next big nanotech product, according to start-up NaturalNano, will be dug out of the ground.

The Rochester, N.Y.-based company has found a way to use Halloysite, a naturally occurring tubular clay, as an unobtrusive carrier in metals, perfumes and other substances.

NaturalNano says that by filling Halloysite tubes with copper and then mixing the tubes into a polymer, a manufacturer could make an electrically conductive plastic. If filled with fungicides, the Halloysite particles--which consist of aluminum, oxygen, silicon and hydrogen--could be swirled into paint to make it more resistant to mildew and mold. Time-released coatings could also be added to make all-day deodorant.

Dragon Mine deposits in Utah are
significantly rich in nanotube content. The tubes could even have agricultural uses.

"If you load the tube with a common pesticide, an insect can pick it up by brushing up against it," Aaron Wagner, director of research and development for NaturalNano, said during an interview at the Foresight Nanotechnology Conference in Burlingame. "There are some nasty chemicals used in agriculture today and we'd like to reduce the amount of the nasties."

Spreading pesticides in this manner could cut down the amount of poison sprayed on a field by 70 or 80 percent, he speculated.

Futurists often speak about how nanotechnology will alter semiconductors and other technologies, but the first generation of nanotechnology applications revolve around some pretty prosaic stuff: lighter car door panels for better gas mileage, stain-free pants, better plastics. Nanotechnology involves building products or enhancing existing products with designer molecules that measure 100 nanometers or less. (A nanometer is a billionth of a meter.) The applications also help explain why nanotech entrepreneurs haven't become overnight billionaires: Textile and plastics manufacturers can't raise their prices easily.

Researchers use transmission electron
microscopes to view the Halloysite
nanotubes from Atlas mines in Utah. Halloysite itself isn't exactly new. For centuries, artisans have used Halloysite clay to make porcelain and china. Armed with high-powered microscopes in the 1950's, scientists saw that Halloysite particles were tube shaped. Applications to take advantage of the particles' structure finally emerged in the '90s.

No one really fully understands why Halloysite forms into tubes, he said. One theory is that it's a result of shearing; other researchers believe interaction with water causes Halloysite sheets to roll into tubes.

The fact that the tubes can be dug from the ground, however, means that they are somewhat cheap, and far less expensive than similar, manmade objects like carbon nanotubes.

Some carbon nanotubes cost $250 a gram and are made in furnaces in labs. By contrast, Halloysite comes out of mines. NaturalNano gets its raw material from the Atlas Dragon Mine in Utah.

"We buy by the ton," Wagner said. "I don't think you can beat us on price. Nature spent billions of years on R&D."

Halloysite tubes are generally about 40 to 200 nanometers in diameter and about a micron long. A micron is a millionth of a meter, so the tubes resemble hollow spaghetti.

Previous Next NaturalNano has patents pending for its method of extracting the tubes from raw clay (which can contain other materials) and then processing them for industrial applications.

Wagner would not state when products containing the company's tubes would debut or who NaturalNano's customers are. Nonetheless, he said the tubes would be likely to first appear in plastics and particles. Fungicides and agricultural applications would be likely to follow later. And in the more distant future, the tubes might be used for human drug delivery.

NaturalNano expects that prices for finished Halloysite nanotubes will run from $3.50 per pound to $20 per pound, depending on function and complexity. The company says it is laying the groundwork for an IPO.

"Our goal is to be a public company by the end of the year," Wagner said.

ALMI news is out 12/6/05
Also ALMI is over .90 - again

Atlas Mining Company Adds Second Shift at Dragon Mine
Tuesday December 6, 8:40 am ET

OSBURN, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2005--Atlas Mining Company (OTCBB:ALMI - News) announced today that its Dragon Mine operation in Juab County, Utah has added a second shift to its work force. According to its President, William Jacobson, the operation recently started a second shift in an effort to reach some underground areas where additional known beds of halloysite clay exist. According to geological records a bed of halloysite clay has been blocked out near the 300 foot level. By opening up this area a secondary escapeway for the mine will also become available in accordance with safety regulations. According to Jacobson, "We have had some problems finding good employees with the experience necessary to handle this job, but we have added some good hands to our crew structure, and we feel things will move faster now. Instead of 8 to 10 hours a day we now can get 16 to 20 hours of production." Jacobson went on to state, "Although winter is upon us here in Utah, we are much more prepared this year than last. The roads are in good shape, and we are set up much better now. I don't think the weather will slow us down much."

I see that they have added another mining shift to their operations, but several questions pop into mind:

1) Winter is upon us and snow in Utah may impede mining operations...right?

2) Is anyone actually buying the product?

Is the price of this stock going to go south for the winter, or do we keep our hopes up for the bright future?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

BTW...where is PurlGurl with her insights?

Thank you in advance,
Shark
