DEL MAR, Calif., Nov 10, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Colonel Jeffrey Powers USMC (ret), CEO of Homeland Security Group International (Pink Sheets:HMSG) announced today that the company along with joint venture partner Recon Mountaineer, has reached a milestone of delivering over 11,000 Combat Trauma Bags to Marine Corps units operating in Iraq and Afghanistan. Units returning from Iraq and Afghanistan immediately reorder the CTB upon returning. Commanders, Navy Corpsmen and Marine combat-aidsmen rave about the bag's toughness, durability, and versatility.

Comments a Marine Battalion Commander: "Battalion TF 3/5 was tasked with maintaining Main Supply Route security and patrolling the surrounding areas upon our arrival here in Sept 2004. Later we went into Fallujah and have been there since. We closely adhered to the 'Golden Hour' with regard to casualty-evacuation and it proved to be a life saver. We had vehicle evacuation platforms within minutes of any patrol throughout our operations. As a result the combat trauma bag was the most favored piece of kit for the Docs as it allowed them to carry a lighter load but with all that was required to 'plug them and pump them'. Anything extra was staged in the cas-evac platform ready for immediate application ... The CTB is a good piece of gear and it is the only thing Docs are carrying here. I highly recommend it."

Based upon the enthusiastic response to the combat trauma bags and requests from the field, HMSG and Recon Mountaineer are currently in the process of expanding our line by designing variations of the Combat Trauma Bag. Mack Mylnek, President of Recon Mountaineer, is designing a combat utility bag capable of carrying various other combat essentials. These designs will be tailored to facilitate both convoy operations and urban combat for Army and Marine units.

"We are currently in negotiations with several other companies in an effort to add to our line of products for use both home and abroad in the security sector," commented Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO, Homeland Security Group International. "We intend to rapidly respond to the immediate needs of those currently in theater as well as those soon to deploy. HMSG has proven the ability to react to the customers' needs quickly with equipment and services. Our GSA schedule will streamline and expedite our response to an even greater level and provide exposure to the entire Department of Defense and other government agencies," stated Col Powers.

Homeland Security Group International (HMSG) Announced Today a Strategic Alliance with Head Lites Corporation (HLC)

DEL MAR, Calif., Nov 30, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Homeland Security Group International (HMSG) announced today a strategic alliance with Head Lites Corporation (HLC) of St. Paul, MN to assist in the introduction and marketing of HLC's Enhanced Linear Mobile Optic Lighting systems (ELMO(R) brand).
The portable, battery-powered, A-200 Series 200 foot flexible, "light-by-wire" or "ELMO-Lyte(R)," as it is referred to, has been designed for providing a safer, faster emergency ingress/egress or mass evacuation.

ELMO has already been highly accepted among the nation's top responder groups, and by Spring '06 will have placement in over 100 countries and a strong presence in our nation's capitol area.

The initial area of focus for HMSG will involve the Southern California Fire Service, EMS, security and responder markets that are highly sensitized to both natural disaster and homeland security preparedness. "HMSG has already introduced ELMO to U.S. Marine Corps operational units. ELMO's application on the battlefield as a control measure is enormous, to include marking minefields, assembly areas, and landing zones. The Marine Corps showed immediate interest," stated Col Powers.

"ELMO's applications in emergency situations domestically are numerous, to include: marking ingress/egress in buildings, fire rescue egress marking, incident site marking and control, emergency landing zone marking, and traffic control. The ability to lay a 'light-line' to follow or stay clear of can assist a mission requiring fewer personnel as well as increasing the speed of ingress or egress. And it's all about speed when it comes to response," continued Powers.

Gary Lesley, President and CEO of HLC, is both pleased and excited with the new relationship because of the vast network of influencers that HMSG and its President and CEO, Jeffrey Powers, Col USMC, Retired, brings to the table.

"Col Powers has remained fully engaged with his military associates and the passion he's shown for ELMO and what it can do for them has me excited about the results that will come from that combination," stated Lesley.

"We are only interested in 'class-of-one' type products that my team and I are willing to rest our reputations on," explained Col Powers. "And the ELMO-Lyte is clearly a game-changer."

"ELMO will help save lives and make tough jobs where lighting is a problem much easier," continued Powers.

Homeland Security Group International, Inc.'s Ballistics Division Schedules Test Firing of Revolutionary Bullet Proof Composite January 5th, 2006

DEL MAR, Calif., Jan 03, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HMSG), announced today that the company's ballistic division will be testing a revolutionary new composite material beginning on Thursday, January 5th, 2005.
HMSG will be test-firing two separate lightweight ballistic materials and will be utilizing varying caliber test rounds including NATO .45 caliber, 9mm, 5.56 and 7.62.

"Our goal here is to quantify test results on various thickness of material," commented Colonel Powers. "We have been working closely with our manufacturing partners to produce the lightest possible panels capable of stopping high velocity rounds."

HMSG expressed they are placing increased emphasis on the ballistics division in order to focus on lightweight armor in the coming year. "Beginning in the first week of 2006, we will be going full steam ahead with our testing phase and will continue testing to achieve NIJ Level III (Rifle) and Level IIIA for our material," added Powers.

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard establishes minimum performance requirements and test methods for the ballistic resistance of personal body armor designed to protect the torso against gunfire. The standard is limited to ballistic resistance only and does not address resistance from knives or other sharply pointed objects. It reviews NIJ body armor classifications, details requirements (i.e., acceptance criteria, workmanship, armor backing material and so forth) and discusses test methods (i.e., velocity measurement equipment, wet conditioning, test preparation and so forth). Level IIIA armor is designed to protect against 9mm Full Metal Jacketed round nose bullets up to and including 44magnum hand gun rounds. Level III Rifle is designed to protect against high velocity rifle rounds up to and including 7.62mm Full Metal Jacketed bullets.

HMSG Homeland Security Group International, Inc.'s Ballistics Division Announces Positive Test Firing Results
Market Wire - January 12, 2006 6:53 AM (EDT)

NIJ Level IIIA Standards Achieved on All Test Samples

DEL MAR, CA, Jan 12, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (OTC: HMSG) announced today that the company's ballistic division has concluded the first phase of testing on initial panel samples supplied by manufacturers. All panels supplied to the company met NIJ Level IIIA standard.

"During this phase of testing we fired at S-Glass, E-Glass and Spectra panels. We are encouraged that the test firings proved to us that these composites indeed meet NIJ Level IIIA standards and protect our men from small arms fire, but our focus has been and continues to be on stopping 7.62 high velocity rifle rounds," commented Colonel Powers. "We are receiving inquiries from manufacturers on a daily basis and several new companies have shipped us samples for testing. We have scheduled a second and third round of testing to shoot at everyone's samples."

HMSG's Ballistic Division's focus is to find a lighter armor solution that will protect personnel from high velocity rounds without sacrificing efficiency caused by the increased weight of the currently fielded systems. HMSG is also conducting concurrent testing with other materials to increase survivability of wheeled and tracked vehicles.

"Look, this is a hot button issue," continued Powers. "All major news organizations have been covering recent reports that our troops are increasingly being injured and killed by hostile fire and shrapnel that hits them where their armor isn't. What is our goal? We are working closely with manufacturers to produce a lightweight ballistic vest which will cover and protect the entire torso while affording comfortable movement and be capable of stopping high velocity rounds. We are also addressing the issue of reducing the risk of injury caused by blunt force trauma. This is a big ticket item, but our troops need it NOW and we will not rest until we have a prototype on the table that meets their needs and we have a manufacturing partner capable of pumping these out in high volume."

HMSG stated the massive response from the manufacturing community and the positive results from their initial test firings have forced them to extend through February their tests of additional composite samples. Utilizing additional firing ranges, they will now incorporate blast and shrapnel tests into each sample. Test results from each firing and milestone reports on the design and testing will be issued as each testing phase concludes. All testing is designed to qualify panels that meet The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard Level IIIA and Level III(Rifle).

ABOUT NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF JUSTICE (NIJ) STANDARD IIIA AND III(RIFLE)

NIL establishes minimum performance requirements and test methods for the ballistic resistance of personal body armor designed to protect the torso against gunfire. It reviews NIJ body armor classifications, details requirements (i.e., acceptance criteria, workmanship, armor backing material, and so forth), and discusses test methods (i.e., velocity measurement equipment, wet conditioning, test preparation, and so forth). Homeland Security Group International Schedules Meeting With Major Manufacturer of Ballistic Composite

HMSG Adds Weapons Expert to Ballistics Division

DEL MAR, CA, Jan 30, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (OTC: HMSG), announced today that the company has scheduled meetings this week with two manufacturers of ballistic capable compounds to discuss partnerships, joint ventures and the availability of raw materials.
The company has recently been contacted by a major manufacturer of raw material needed to continue development of lighter weight armor. "We are at a point in our testing where we have proven we can stop bullets to meet NIJ Level IIIA standards. We have recently been contacted by a company with the technical data showing their material can stop Level IV (which means 7.62mm ammunition). Our goal is to marry the technologies needed to produce the first lightweight level IV prototype vest. Included in this vest will be the material we have been working on that also reduces blunt force trauma," commented Colonel Powers. "We have to be sure that the raw materials needed for production are available to us in sufficient quantity to allow us to produce various models for examination by the military and law enforcement. We are confident that we have found such a partner."

The company also announced today that they have added another team member to the Ballistics Division. Paul D. Burr is a former US Army Ranger and well regarded weapons expert. He has agreed to join the Ballistics Division and assist with the quantifying of test results.

"I strongly believe in what this company is attempting to accomplish," stated Burr. "As the enemy gets smarter and continues to use improvised explosive devices against our troops, it is imperative that we develop lighter weight, more effective armor to protect them. I think HMSG is on the right track and am proud to be on board to continue the mission of helping to bring our troops home safely."

HMSG expressed they are placing increased emphasis on the ballistics division in order to focus on lightweight armor. "Our desire is to improve ballistic protection not only for personnel, but to also improve security for wheeled vehicles and light armored vehicles alike. We have said it before ... We won't rest until we are sure we can produce a product that will help reduce the risk to our troops caused by hostile fire," added Powers.

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard establishes minimum performance requirements and test methods for the ballistic resistance of personal body armor designed to protect the torso against gunfire. The standard is limited to ballistic resistance only and does not address resistance from knives or other sharply pointed objects. It reviews NIJ body armor classifications, details requirements (i.e., acceptance criteria, workmanship, armor backing material, and so forth), and discusses test methods (i.e., velocity measurement equipment, wet conditioning, test preparation, and so forth). Level IIIA armor is designed to protect against 9mm Full metal jacketed round nose bullets up to and including 44magnum hand gun rounds. Level III (Rifle) is designed to protect against high velocity rifle rounds up to and including 7.62mm Full Metal Jacketed bullets.
