I enjoyed an experience today at another board. Yes, I frequent lots of boards which is part of valued research. However, I always seem to crash back into this place, sometimes after a cooling off period for my temper.
This pleasant experience today was at one of those stock boards, a "pay-to-post" stock board where they want you to pay them for a right to post. Some free boards, but a majority are fee based.
We, here at Allstocks, add value to this board. Our discussions, opinions, stock tips and such, benefit all of us. Sometimes we even make money!
They want us to pay to post our valuable thoughts?

Well, a moderator at this other site suggested today my posts would be censored out should they show up where he doesn't want them. He suggested I am one of those loonies constantly screaming about naked shorting and should be ignored. He relegated me to a status of the unwashed masses, the untouchables.
I reached out and touched his public persona in my usual way, with carefully chosen words.
* shudders *

That experience added to my deep appreciation of all here, and appreciation for Bob Frey's providing this free board for our usage.

Purl you really are a true asset to this forum. We love you. I watched the board a long while before actually posting. Too many bad experiences on RB and the likes. I like to decide whom to trust before getting involved. At first I thought you were a little.......well uh, oh never mind....You have my trust now. LOL
Why do you think I bought this GVRP crap? I was wanting to anyway and when you bought it, well that was enough for me. I only spend what I am willing to lose. That works for me. LOL
Allstocks is truly a great forum. No pumping and dumping, bashing and crashing, well that's enough said. Love it and the people who post here. Keep up the good work.

Like dishgal1, I watched a long time before I ever posted. I didn't want to put up with any of those name calling contest and and sure didn't want to be part of one. but the real honest to goodness reason I ended up here is another tale all together......people here use GOOD and correct English! Who possibly could accept the judgment of a person that clearly cannot appreciated the value of true communication?

I wish I had tales of tail to tell. But if I did, I wouldn't. It just isn't done in polite society...and certainly not elsewhere, where there migh be someone with knowledge details that could "correct" the "facts" of the tale.

My good side is definitely not my backside.
HOM is up a little today. A new board for HOM is over at IH which will help.
CLSI 10Q is out and on the Edgar site. I am over there looking at numbers. Not too bad although it appears CLSI took a good hit because of the former president of UTS down in Puerto Rico.
Last year they invested in equipment, this year invested in bonds. Good numbers are reported on their investment returns. That will show next time around.
A bit of a decline in revenue and net profit but still in the black ink.
So far, all I read is within exceptable norms. A little bit of a down quarter but movement of cash into better investment returns.

I have a hired ghost writer sitting next to me. Looks pale as a ghost too, with all the things I say and do. Fifth ghost writer this month. They are just not dependable.

this board - AllStocks - has been great to me. i have learned a lot from quite a few people here. it has been a great learning experience so far.
PG - i don't know how you do it; crafting your responses. you amaze me.
keithsan is in the lead for the 2005 StockGod of the year award! glass is a close second. actually glass was in first until GVRP came along. there's still time everyone to overtake keithsan but highly unlikely.

I don't visit other boards, I don't find it helpfull, I have tried in the past. Recently with GVRP being such an odd play I searched elsewhere but they were in the same unknown boat as us, i found some of my DD quoted there and attributed to allstocks. I added some more and reciprocated their pleasantness.
Problem with boards is not knowing which are good traders, with GVRP there were a few saying no way we get the dividend etc.... If your reading people you don't know, you don't know who to believe.
There are some excellent traders here and the best part is their willingness to help the new guy along,(not me, i got kind of testy this week) but others.
Its good to have Purl back.
...now if bob would stop lurking and start posting....
