lol already too late considering thier market share has been cut in half in not even 5 years
the only thing gonna save this beast is an incredibly forward thinking new management team
another thing i gotta say drives me nuts
i love unions they serve a very important purpose but the car unions and the airport unions are destroying the companies they work for sorry but when your making 30+ dollars an hour with incredible benefits in a job that really doesnt (and i dont care what you think it doesnt) take any decernable skill and you threaten to strike you deserve to lose your job but go ahead and scream and cry that 50k people get laid off its thier own fualt
GM is paying retired people almost as much money as it is paying to make thier cars your not gonna stay in business that way esp in a market that has MANY competitors who do it as good as you
and just a side note i think gm cars are well made (far batter than ford) but toyota makes the best cars in most classes
and this has been my 2 cents thank you

I saw it coming when they let Olds go. Im pretty sure Pontiac is next. I don’t know who GM is marketing their cars to, but it can’t be anyone on this planet. Their new lineup is way too conservative. They have been consistently outwitted by their rivals. I believe they will offer hybrid full size pickups in the next few years. In order for them to survive they will need to reorganize and make some huge fundamental changes.

i worked at a pepboys for a little while and ford was by far the hardest car to work on due to poor design
plus other than the fseries trucks they have rather alarming breakdown rates and pretty much only pontiac grand prix and european(they really should be taken to specialty shops) cars had higher bills too

if gm or ford ever start laying off. that will be huge. another repeat of the 80's. also imo the housing is going to get nasty in the next nine to 12 months. investors are in full force right now. properties are soaring and being flipped big time now. more than before. now we are almost doing 60 percent investor house engineering. good for now as we are making a killing, but bad later on. there is going to be such huge inventory that it is not going to be even funny.
