I think, but am not confident, this formerly IPVO will drop one more time before moving up. This drop of which I write should not amount to more than four to six cents, a drop to .41 or so with low volume sidewards trading following.
News is decent, yes. Very strong down trend since the first of the year might prevail. Today's trading displays upward pressure and downward pressure to be equal in strength; not enough upward pressure yet.
Upward resistance kicks in at .50 per share leaving only a four to eight cent margin on a low volume spike, intraday. Looks ok for fast single day trades.
My opinion, which is doubtful, is to watch for a double bottom to form Friday through Wednesday of next week, then watch for increasing upward pressure to start forming.
Be careful on market close spikes. Quite often that is market makers front running into high bids they sat upon all day. My experience is a market close upward spike will make for a higher next day open followed by falling share price during the day.
There is cause for upward movement, but I am not so sure this will happen just yet.

well, if past history is any indication, NMKT is likely to drift back to .41 or so and stay there for awhile.
a very odd stock, been following a long time. the way i am trying to play it is to: hold half long, and swing the other half continuously, selling into any decent news.

i do like NMKT, btw - didn't mean to sell it short in that last post. i own NMKT - huge growth, mildly profitable so far, hopefully more so in the future. but ever since it's "fall from grace", NMKT has had a lot of trouble sustaining any upward motion. still, i think it will eventually see $1 again - may be 2 years off, but i think will get there. i wish verges would stop talking about naked shorting in his PR's though, i admit.

I had QSC, bought it at .49 for two months it didn't do a thing, up or down tow cents every day. Good company and good revenue and future. I became desperate and sold. A week later it hit .84 cents.
NMKT has a much better future and much more revenue, and less legal issues, it will be a matter of time before it goes Kabooom.... I say by May 20th we should see a slow but upward climb to close to $1
Between that day we will see .41 again then I'm loading on some more

NewMarket Technology Inc. Reports Record Quarterly Revenue of $10.1 Million and 3rd Consecutive Profitable Qtr for Q1 2005 Representing 382% Growth Over Q1 2004 DALLAS
CEO Comments on Anticipated Explosive Growth Throughout 2005 and Future Stock Price Potential
NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT) today filed SEC Form 10QSB reporting the Company's financial performance in the first quarter of 2005. The Company realized 382% growth in profitable revenue for the quarter compared to the same period last year. NewMarket reported over $10.1 million in revenue with a profit of more than $200,000 in the first quarter of 2005 compared to revenue of $2.6 million and a net earnings loss in the first quarter of 2004.
"NewMarket has grown explosively since 2002 from annual revenue of $1 million to annual revenue in 2004 of $25 million," said Philip Verges, CEO and Chairman. "We anticipate ongoing explosive growth through 2005. The Company is on track to realize our 2005 $75 million revenue forecast and we continue to plan for similar explosive growth in 2006 and beyond. We do not believe the current share price reflects the Company's market potential. The Company's revenue grew over 1000% from 2003 to 2004 and at the same time shareholder equity increased from $5 million to over $17 million. Yet the Company's market capitalization has not increased to reflect the improved financial stability and performance. In other words, the number of shares multiplied by the price of the stock, reflecting the overall market capitalization or market value of the Company, has not increased. While more stock has been issued in conjunction with the execution of a merger and acquisition plan, the share price would still have had to increase for the market capitalization to have grown in response to the increased revenue, profits and balance sheet assets. Management believes the market has had difficulty recognizing the potential of the new technology category NewMarket is defining. We further believe the share price has been burdened by environmental trading conditions specific to the over the counter market. We are confident that the realization of anticipated performance benchmarks in 2005 will result in a breakthrough of the communication barrier impeding the market's current understanding of NewMarket's ground breaking progress in defining a new technology business category. We are further confident the Company will outgrow and overcome the conditions specific to the over the counter market that inhibit the share price from reflecting the intrinsic value of the Company."
News seems to be doing nicely.

risk/reward looks pretty good to me from the low-.40's, hard to see it going back to the .30's again *if* they can keep up good reports like yesterday.
am sure will be a bit of a struggle to slowly move up, but - am going to take my chances and hold a small amount of NMKT long-term and see what verges can do with the company over the next few years, we'll see. HOM and NMKT have generally just done swing-trades on both in the past, but both strike me as having enough consistent growth in their businesses to try as a longer term hold.

NewMarket Technology specializes in the market introduction of emerging technologies by packaging emerging technologies with current brand name technologies. NewMarket has grown from $2.3 million in revenue in 2003 to $25 million in profitable revenue in 2004. Most recently, NewMarket sold its Homeland Security subsidiary to Defense Technology Systems Inc. (DFTS) with plans to issue Defense Technology Systems stock to NewMarket Shareholders in a dividend issue to be declared later this year.
In conjunction with the Homeland Security deal, Defense Technology Systems recently implemented a revitalization and redirection plan leveraging its experience in providing digital communication infrastructure solutions to Fortune 1000 companies in order to expand into providing overall Homeland Security solutions to major metropolitan municipalities. Through the acquisition of NewMarket's subsidiary, Defense Technology has a trailing twelve month revenue of $5 million. Defense Technology management intends to build a comprehensive Homeland Security product portfolio through an ongoing acquisition campaign geared to transform Defense Technology into a significant participant in the Homeland Security and Defense sectors.
