George W. Bush: Chosen of God A great many conservative Christians regard President George W. Bush as being a "chosen" man of God, picked specifically by God to be in the place he is now. This quickly leads to the logical conclusion that any effort to unseat Bush as president is an effort to fight against God.
Debbie Daniel writes for Intellectual Conservative:
George Bush is no ordinary man. It is because of his deep faith in God that he’s been able to withstand the vile attacks by seemingly everyone. Just when I think I can’t take any more of this nonsense in the political arena, I am reminded that we’ve just witnessed a miracle. George Bush has been hammered harder than any candidate in recent history, yet he still stands. He has walked through the FIRE of the Democrat’s IRE, and he’s up in the polls. Go figure . . . it’s an absolute miracle.
apparently even his mother has claimed he is "chosen"

NORMAN (GWB) -- President Bush is seen by many of his supporters as an answer to their prayers. "He was hand picked by the man upstairs and that's good enough for me," gushes Tammy Foster, a spot welder from Norman, Oklahoma. She points to Divine Inspiration to explain the miracle of Bush's getting Iraq to disarm as a prelude to U.S. attack. "If that's not Christlike, I don't know what is," said Foster.

Now that is what I'm talking about, Glassman!
Remember my articles a long time back about these financial woes of California being contributed directly to stock market manipulation?
Califonia's budget reports, circa 1999 - 2002, directly itemize a twelve-billion dollar loss of revenue because of stock market manipulation, loss in the markets because of pump and dump, fraud and such.
Just California, twelve-billion dollars lost revenue.
Multiply that be the number of states in the Union.
Those boys back in Washington are going about this American financial crisis in all the wrong ways.
Purl Gurl, and yes I am Kira but like Spock, don't bother trying to enunciate my Indian name; doing so will prove orally painful.

part of the speech Bush made as he claimed his victory...
Bush tried to reach out to the 55 million voters who chose Democratic Sen. John Kerry instead of him. Many of those voters said they were not so much enthusiastic backers of Kerry as rather strong opponents of the president’s policies, including the invasion of Iraq.
“Today, I want to speak to every person who voted for my opponent,” Bush said. “To make this nation stronger and better, I will need your support, and I will work to earn it. I will do all I can do to deserve your trust.”

I don't know if "intellectual conservtive" is an oxymoron, because the conservatives keep changing what they mean by conservative. They do that with conservative just as they do that with reasons for invading Iraq and promisses to leave Social Security intact and so on and so on. They would do that with intellectual if they knew what it was, I'm certain.

The problem with most non-Christians is they are usually ignorant about Christian issues and they assume anyone who says they are a Christian (especially extremists) really are Christians. They also assum that things like the Cruisades are well-representative of the faith. It's particularly sad when they stereotype and bash and don't bother to check into the facts, and then turn around and do the same things they are griping about.
It's not unlike those who think Muslems are all extremists who support Al Queda. Talk about having a shallow mind.

You guys must have bitersweet feelings when the market goes up, even though your making money, you cant blame Bush for it going down. Of course if the market did go up this year you guys would give credit to Rove.

Nope....all Rove gets credit for is moving his little pinkies inside the puppet. It doesn't use his voice, though. I suspect that's machine generated, since it clearly shows no sign of ever having been filtered through a conscious brain.
The market moves.......that and the way it moves is not always somebody's fault.
