Glass, Can you tell me which is not a fact.
i didn't say YOUR statements weren't facts, just that the "facts" that led US to support the President into the war were NOT facts...Saddam never manufactured any more WMD after the first gulf war...he ran out....yes he used them up to put down a civil war.... he also used them on Iran, and we cheered him on then, and when he was making them for the Iran-Iraq war.......
Sadam ONCE had WMD, but the intel that the WHOLE world relied upon saying that Sadam was was in touch with Al-Queda was disproven (came out of Czech)
that he had a biowep program came from only one source and that source was proven to be less than reliable...(BEFORE WE INVADED)but still it was forwarded the president
the President's Report even says the CIA knew that the nuke reports were lies...nukes aren't easy to make or maintain...
it's in the report at the white house dot gov...
it's dated 3-31-05,
we are there in Iraq NOW.. we have a job to do.. we can't pull out without finishing it, and it isn't gonna be EZ or cheap...
Saudi Arabia is not happy about it and neither is Russia...IMO? that's a major PART of the reason oil spiked so high.....(not all of it tho)
that's what "bringing freedom" to the mid-east is costing US...and if they want it so bad? why are we having such a hard time "giving " it to them...
congress appropriated another 80 BILLION$ today... so the bill is now over 300 billion.....

I have to agree with BAMAMAN that id rather be safe then sorry as far there being WMD. No one could possibly know for sure if they were there. Since Saddam thumbed his nose to the UN time after time and wouldnt give complete access to inspectors. Saddam could obviously not be trusted, especially after 9/11. The risk to our country was far to high. Perhaps some people insist on a WMD attack on US soil before getting rid of a tyrant. But we had more then enough reason to go in and do what we did.

Glass, I understand what you're saying. But, before we went into Iraq there were A LOT of unanswered questions. It's easy to sit back now and say what we should have done but at the time we couldn't afford to assume all the intel was wrong, globally wrong it would have been reckless to do so. There is also no proof that the never possessed WMD's. Only that nothing was found, even a small amount could still be out there. We gave him all the time in the world to get rid, dispose or transport them out of the country assuming he had them. And right now no one can prove that otherwise. As charger stated, if he was COMPLETELY clean he would have abided by the UN Resolutions and let us have full access. I would think that you would agree on this...using common sense with all that he's done, been involved in etc. you would have assumed he was guily as sin.

you guys should read the report i mentioned...
it doesn't say we can't find it...
it says the intel was fabricated, it says there was NO infrastructure to make WMD... you think they whip this crap up in the kitchen like methamphetamines or something? they don't...
it's the President's OWN report, read his lips...
