Happy Tax Day!

I have a surprise for you!

So, you thought President Bush gave you a tax
cut and have discovered not only are you paying
more taxes, but you are also being penalized
for having children. The more children you have,
the more Bush taxes you.

Surprise!

Told you Bush is only giving out tax cuts to
the filthy rich, this is, his friends.

By the year 2010 all middle class families will
be paying significantly more taxes and will be
taxed even more for each child in the family.

You got that? The more children you have, the
more tax penalties you will pay.

By the year 2010, Bush and his friends will be
paying a lesser tax rate than middle class people.

Surprise!

Hmm, President Cheney has a "declared" income of
one point five million and paid a tidy sum of
three-hundred-thousand in taxes. Say, isn't that
a tax rate about what middle class people pay?

Surprise!

Yeah boy, three dollars a gallon for gasoline
and reports indicate surplus gas and oil here
in America. Who is making big profits? Bush,
Cheney and the rest of the highway robbers.

Surprise!

Bush said oil sales would pay for the war in
Iraq, actually a Bush family vendetta, and
what have we paid for Iraq? Have not we paid
well over two-hundred-billion dollars and
thousands of lives lost. Yeah, oil sales
paid for Bush giving his dad Saddam's head,
oil paid for the war just like Bush said.

He lied.

Surprise!

Is it any surprise investors are pulling their
money out of the markets? Is it any surprise
Americans are pessimistic about our future?

Hope your investment and trading skills are
well honed. These are times of lost wages.
Even the real estate markets are spooked.

You cannot afford to make a single mistake,
whether investing or trading, for the next
several years.

It's only going to become worse. Hang onto to
your shorts and do not bend over in front of
any republican politicians.

The Bush tax hoax? Alternative Minimum Tax.
Bush knew he was buggering the middle class
when he announced his hoax tax cuts.

God Bless George Bush and his wealthy friends.

"Before mailing your federal income tax return, check to make sure you aren’t subject to the alternative minimum tax. In recent years, more and more people have found themselves subject to the AMT.

The tax law gives preferential treatment to some kinds of income and allows special deductions and credits for some kinds of expenses. Taxpayers who benefit from these provisions of the law may have to pay an additional tax called the alternative minimum tax. It is a separate tax computation that, in effect, eliminates many deductions and credits and creates a tax liability for an individual who would otherwise pay little or no tax."

- IRS

Bush knew about this when he announced his gracious
tax cuts for the middle class, along with his very
generous tax cuts for himself and rich friends.

Middle class tax cuts are a total hoax prepetrated
upon Americans by President Bush and republicans.

They knew the AMT is in effect. They lied to all
Americans, knowingly lied to all Americans, just
like Bush and the republicans lied about Iraq.

You think Bush and friends care one bit about all
the corruption and crime over on Wall Street?

Telling ya, "things" are only going to become worse.

EXCELLENT POST PURL!!

Yeah the government is slowly eroding the middle class. In the 70's the average family only had ONE working parent and could afford a HOUSE, CAR, and actually have FAMILY VACATIONS. Now the norm is for both parents to work. WHO IS RAISING THE CHILDREN? We wonder why the kids seem to be more violent and disrespectful.

Americans can't even live the "AMERICAN DREAM" anymore.

Are way of life is going straight down the toilet. I fear what AMERICA will be like in 10 years!!

Ha!

Of course President Homophobe is protecting marriage!

Gays usually do not have kids. Bush wants lots of
kids to tax so he can fund his favorite boondoggles,
like starting wars.

I am not normally so anal retentive about politics
but Bush should be impeached for wreckless
stupidity and attempting to think.

Bush is destroying all economies across the globe.
Darn it, I am just trying to make a buck to be sure
our girl is secure when my old man and I are gone.

I suspect the last three market days is knowledge
coming to a head like a ripe pimple. It is people
finally inner-self admitting Bush and friends bent
them over and engaged them in very unsafe sex.

But hey! Like you write, Glassman, those darn gays
are not going to destroy America, by golly!

Oh Happy Tax Day!

stop letting everyone have kids so by accident or so they have someone who will love them...then stop rewarding them for being a parent....make'em get a job, tax cuts vs. all the crap we pay for....

...maybe just seeing welfare not work daily angers me more than most...but we will shell out more and more for a program that has an incentive to become larger...

I'm talking majority crimes, my kids shooting each other in the chest or on bikes NEVER makes national news.... and it is once a week on average.

Purl Gurl, we got off your topic a little, sorry..

this is a good place to talk about the fact that corporations have reduced their %age of the taxes paid from about 60% to 16%....

what do you think about that?

as an investor and as an individual...

whining? i'm a bit insulted Jason..

why? because there are so many people that don't even speak up.

we as Americans can only change things by communicating our concerns effectively.

the way i see it? we have two choices for change-
one is to "whine" loud enough-as you put it..
the other is unthinkable, it involves violence...

i agree with you that the two party system is corrupt...i don't find either side to be satisfacory...

the largest tax return ever only means they witheld too much...

Jason, George Bush swore to protect us, serve us
and uphold our constitution. He is not protecting
us, he is not serving us, and he is not obeying
our constitution.

Half of us voted 2004 for Kerry. For the 2000
election, Bush was not elected; he illegally
took office via voting fraud in his brother's
state, Florida.

With your low income, Jason, you should not be
playing the stock markets. Your responsibility is
taking care of your three kids.

With your not paying AMT tax, your income bracket
must be below $58,000 per year. That is not much
and does not warrant gambling in the markets.

Point is, George Bush claimed to have cut taxes
for the middle class when, in fact, he did no
such thing; he lied to all Americans. He did
cut taxes for the most wealthy of America.

Jason, there is a distinct difference between
whining and discussion.

Glassman, I am very much in favor of tax cuts for
commerce and companies, when those tax cuts will
stimulate our economy.

Our economy can be stimulated by giving tax cuts
for opening a branch in low income areas, or hiring
new workers, for staying in America along with tax
cuts for many other practices which help all. You
are familiar with incentive tax cuts. Those are good.

Those companies moving production outside of America,
should be tax penalized. However, we should also give
tax cuts for staying in America, to be fair.

Tax cut "trickle down" works very well when those
tax cuts are rule based and for commerce; give a
tax cut for activities which stimulate production,
sales and jobs.

Bush, the idiot he is, assumes all of us to be so
stupid we believe tax cuts for the filthy rich
will benefit the single mom living in poverty.

Well, half of America is that stupid.

So, he did give tax cuts to his wealthy friends.
I ask, is our economy doing better now?

Personally, I would do away with all taxes, for
individuals and commerce alike, then use a system
like many other countries, a flat rate sales tax.

Yes, millions would scream bloody murder, certainly
the rich. Nonetheless, this problem of tax evasion
would vanish, tax loopholes would vanish, fairness
in taxation would be had, and tax revenunes would
increase a hundred fold. All pay the same tax and
collection is so simple being a retail sales tax;
it is collected at the cash register.

For the poor, we would continue our assistance
programs, food stamp programs, child programs
and such. They would pay little or no tax.

Flat tax rate for all. That is the most logical
and most viable choice.

How much of a flat tax rate? I would estimate a
flat sales tax rate of 22% to 26% would do it.

For the curious, here are the breaking points for
the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) going into effect,

If you earn these figures or more, and you are
not in the "wealthy class" of tax payers,

(2003 - 2004 tax tables)

$58,000 if you are married filing a joint return
or a qualified widow(er),

$40,250 if you are single or head of household

$29,000 if you are married filing a separate return.

You can readily see those figures include the
"lower middle class" category. Each passing
year, the figures change taking in more people.
By the year 2010, the AMT will qualify all save
for those at true poverty level.

George Bush did not give a tax break to any but
the filthy rich. He and his republican cronies
were and are aware of the AMT. He knew none were
receiving a "net" tax cut. Bush simply lied to
all Americans, and this is not his only lie.

My opinion is this "worst day" in the markets
for years, is one of the accumulative effects
of George Bush's economic policies. This is
only the beginning; things will become worse.

not defending bush but again, with child care credits i had a better rate this year. Also, AMT is brutal, especially for those in high income/expense areas. Bush did not invent AMT but it would be great to see it removed.

I agree 1000%.... I saw some congress woman on the tube talking flat tax down... something aboutthe transition time between I.R.S. rule and the start of flat tax collection would cause a large amount of chaos in the economy... I say the freaking economy is about to be in chaos in the near future anyway..I mean BAD!!! So IMO it's a good time to kill the way we do things now...FLAT TAX GOOD!! I.R.S. BAD!!! What I think is what the crooks in Washington are realy concerned about is, Flat Tax would force them to be creative and have to find a new way to line there pockets.. It took them 229 years to set this sham up,and now a bunch of right minded people want to change it! HOW DARE WE!!!!!

I should add most Americans are not aware of this
special tax, the AMT tax, and are in violation of
IRS tax rules.

What will happen? Should you be selectd for an
IRS audit, be sure the IRS will screw you to
greatest degree allowed by law; Bush has given
a mandate to the IRS to be extremely aggressive
in tax collection.

On the stage he brags of his (phoney) tax breaks,
making tax rules simple and off the stage he has
turned his IRS into rabid money hungry tax dogs
via a hidden tax rule which penalizes all but
the very rich.

Bush did not give you a tax break and he has
set loose the tax dogs upon you...

...unless you are one of his wealthy friends.

Hey, don't be so hard on President bird brain. He honestly believes he is not only smarter than you, but certainly deserves more than you. Just ask him and, if his handlers aren't around to stop it, he will explain to you that if he weren't so much smarter than you, he wouldn't be so much richer.

As an example of how well thought out and dependable his political opinions are, Sir George the Second ran for Congress way back right after his first oil company went bankrupt and his primary campaign issue was stating that Social Security would be bankrupt within 10 years. For those of you with republican accounting techniques (Enron desease) that 10 years passed decades ago without Social security going under.

And I seem to be the only person alive that remembers dubya promissing in two presidential election campaigns that he would not make any attempt to alter social security. "Hands off", he promised, "ain'ta gonna touch that lock box!....I swear."

By the way, all you fools that believe in his tax breaks, income tax doesn't come close to being the major portion of funding the federal government nor is it the major source of federal taxing of the populace. The well off are hit by payroll tax far less than the poor and milddle class....and of course, the rich (and all corporations), who are not on a payroll pay zilch toward that source of funding the federal government.

LOL, here...talk about away from his handlers?

check out his unscripted responses to Jan Mickelson on WHO Radio..
this is fom the white house.gov...so his people published it...

THE PRESIDENT: Well, you know, I appreciate the Chairman. He's got some political courage, which is necessary to take on tough problems. It's pretty easy to ignore problems in politics. What's hard is to take on a tough problem. And both Senator Grassley and I have dedicated ourselves to taking on the tough problem of Social Security. And it's a problem.

that's three tough problems in one and two other basic problems... [Big Grin]
