I liked Transmeta a lot more when Linus Torvalds, the namesake and creator of the Linux operating system, worked there. He left a couple of years ago. Of course, the stock price was over $40/share back then. They've changed their business model a few times since then. They used to be a chip maker. I haven't followed them for a while and can't add anything of value about their current business model but I thought that you might want to know a little about their history. Good luck.

NEW YORK, April 11 (Reuters) - Chip maker Transmeta Corp.(TMTA.O) on Monday said its recurring losses from operations and need to increase funding raises "substantial doubt" about its ability to continue as a going concern.
